After six weeks at No. 1, Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” has been pushed out of the top spot on the Billboard hot 100 singles chart. Taking her place is Katy Perry’s Kanye West-assisted “E.T.,” moving up a slot from No. 2 last week. Its outer space video just dropped as well. Gaga’s “Way” slips to No. 4.
Rihanna’s “S&M” follows Perry at No. 2, and Cee-Lo’s “F**k You (Forget You)” rises a rung to No. 3. Check out the full top 10 after the jump.

This being Katy’s 4th #1 from this album is a pretty cool achievement. I wish you would have mentioned that. Lord knows if it were GaGa EW would have 12 articles about it.
I’m surprised Gaga isn’t mentioned in the headline. “Born This Way no longer #1,” and then you have to read the article to find out what is.
Yeah, the Gaga coverage is a bit out of control here.
Gaga has been #1 for 6 weeks, and has already sold over 2 million copies of Born This Way. EW is covering her because there is popular DEMAND for coverage of her. You might not dig what she does, but clearly a lot of people do.

Are you serious? It takes serious talent to write catchy pop music. If it was easy then everyone would be doing it! Gaga and Katy at least write their own music. Katy’s voice is awful, but Gaga also has major vocal and piano talent.
Yeah i know, they ACTUALLY WRITE (or co-write) THEIR OWN SONGS! I think they deserve respect for just that something that no one seems to do anymore…

I’ve heard E.T. more the past 2 weeks, but I could tell that Lady Gaga’s No. 1 reign was going to cool down. That Katy Perry’s had 4 straight No. 1s off her second album versus only one on her debut is remarkable! But Gaga had a remarkable 6 weeks at 1! I’m sure it will lead to more No. 1s when her album comes out in May.
Not a big Katy fan, but 4 #1s from an album is a pretty big achievement.

Madonna = Queen of Pop. This is a known fact, and has been since the 80′s. Until she retires, it will remain so. Then we will see who will take the crown (although Britney has been considered her successor for half a decade now).
This is not a known fact by anyone, so stop making this up. If it were it would be as ubiquitous as King of Pop used for MJ but it isn’t. Janet is the Queen of Pop.

Tell me one media vehicle that called Janet the Queen Of Pop (when every media outlet, and even people who aren’t Madonna fans call her Queen Of Pop), and maybe you’ll have something that could prove that… Even though it won’t.
It’s not even a matter of taste, but of iconography. Most people who aren’t into the pop world call her Queen Of Pop. It’s the way she’s cemented as an icon, deal with it.
When has it ever been Janet? Not that I’m anti-Janet or anything, but Madonna is the biggest female pop artist ever. She’s sold more albums, had more hits, sold out more concerts, etc. If any credible source was asked, they’d say Madonna is the queen of pop. Again, not trying to start a fight, but this is really what I believed to be the truth.
No one besides Madonna fans call her the queen of pop and I’ve never seen a media vehicle where she’s been called the queen of pop so you’re misinformed. Janet is an icon, and though she’s younger than Madonna her career is longer. Her dance moves and music videos are iconic as well.
Janet, Celine, Mariah, Whitney, etc have all been called the Queen of Pop. Madonna has no exclusive claim to this title which has become virtually meaningless. ONLY Michael Jackson is called the King of Pop, and by everyone, not just his fans.
Look up “Honorific nicknames in popular music” on wikipedia and scroll down to where it says King of Pop and then Queen of Pop. Compare the 2 sections; point proven. Then look at the links under Notes for verification.

Saying only her fans call her the queen of pop is like saying only MJ’s fans call him the King of Pop. If you rely on Wikipedia so much, then you would know that their criteria for adding an artist with an honorific nickname to the list is that they must be referred to as such by the media at large.
