Chris Brown scored himself a number one album with the recently-released F.A.M.E., which sold 270,000 its first week out, only 5,000 fewer units than Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale debut.
But with the whole Good Morning America fiasco casting an entirely new cloud of menace around Brown, he still needs a pretty intense infusion of image rehab.
Enter Joe Jonas, whose squeaky-clean Disney image might be just the thing Brown needs to stay on the straight and narrow. The two spent some time in the studio over the weekend alongside producer Hit-Boy (crafter of bangers for Nicki Minaj and Pusha T), who tweeted the photo of the three of them. “@joejonas @HitBoy_SC @chrisbrown just did a smash! Whooo,” the producer wrote. And yes, The windows/”smash” correlation did occur to us, but sometimes we like to let these things slide.
The team-up will likely be appearing on the middle JoBro’s upcoming solo debut. Fans have already gotten a taste of Joe on his own with “Make It Right,” but considering the personnel involved, the new track promises to be a lot more hard-hitting. (That one you can have for free.)
Jonas told EW that his solo joint wouldn’t be “a cheesy pop record,” and he recently confessed to Details that he wanted to make music that could get played in a club. It appears as though he’s on his way.
Who do you think benefits most from the Brown/Jonas tag-team? Does Joe pick up some street cred or does CB re-earn the trust of teen girls everywhere? Pick your side in the comments below.

GO BREEZY GO!! JOE JONAS U ROCK!!!
Oheck no! haha. joe jonas fails
They are probably lovers. Chris Brown will beat the hell out of Joe Jonas. Just give it time.
I’m proud of you Chris. That’s my country boy thinking outside of the box. It’s a good look sweetheart.
Chris Brown has a massive hit coming up with Justin Bieber (“Next To You”), he doesn’t need disneyish Joe Jonas so basically Joe is looking for street/hood/urban credibility just like :
*Katy Perry with Kanye (although she insulted him publicly right after the TaylorGate),
*Britney Spears with Nicki and Rihanna,
*J-Lo with Lil’Wayne.
They know where the hitmakers are and they don’t care about their private troubles, the media is the only one left still trying to milk on it. I don’t blame Joe though, he hit up with the right guy.
Chris’ fan base did not go anywhere. And he’s picked up more respect from the urban artists. From this he will pick up some bubble-gum fans, but he doesn’t need them. And it waters him down. Joe’s gaining much more from this collab. with the #1RnB guy of this era (bar none).
I think all this news did for me was make me certain I don’t want to hear Joe’s music. The whole album sounds like collaborations written by producers. All he does is sing and let them autotune it.
1. you do realize producers don’t usually wright the songs idiot.
2.bitter nick stan who is upset that nicks project was a flop go worship him and shut up
most pop singers don’t write their own music..
granted I don’t know joe so if he can write up a good song good for him.
wow! very interesting
i lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve chris brown!!!!!!! Ahhh! cant wait for his tour!!!!!!11 He neeeeeeeeeds to come to CA like now!
Joe Jonas completely soiled his reputation. Just by associating with Brown, given his record, is condoning his actions or at the very least downplaying his criminal activities to things of little importance. Children not only can’t look up to Brown anymore, now they can’t even look up to Jonas because of his poor judgment.
@Brandon I guess girls and young women should look up to Rihanna. A young woman that openly admitted she likes being dominated by her man. Let’s not forget her S&M song … “sex in the air” … Yes Rihanna is such a respectable role model for our youth. Despite the isolated incident between Chris & Rihanna, I have forgiven him. Chris is a talented composer, producer, singer, and performer. I hope he can help Joe Jonas achieve his goals. Chris deserves a second chance, just like Charlie Sheen.
not to pull the race card, but people would of forgiven the guy by now if he wasn’t black.
look at all the white singers who did far worse before browns career even budded.
now they get greatest hits albums and people buy it without flinching.
the Chrisbrown/Joe Jonas song might not even be that good, Nobody considered that yet.
if it does become a hit its only gonna bring more people on team joejo Chris has pretty much done everything he had to do at a young age and can put out music that people will buy no matter what.
omg so stupid so retarded
