Morrison sounds just like he does in the already recorded Glee version…boring. Gwenyth sounds very pretty though.
Wow! Surprisingly nice…somehow they made it new again. I really don’t like it when they trot that song out on American Idol, it tends to get bombastic in a hurry. But this subtle version is very sweet. And I like Paltrow’s voice. It’s not powerful but it has a distinct tone, one I like a lot.

Why does everyone keep remaking Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”? If you’re going to cover a song, why don’t you try to give it an original sound- kinda the way Israel Kamakawiwo’ole did with his spin. I’m kind of disappointed in Matthew Morrison covering this song again in the same exact way. The guy is a bona fide Broadway star. Can’t he find a producer who wants to do something original?
From the leaked tracklisting, there are plenty original songs in his album, I think the covers are just for the duets

This sounds beautiful and Gwyneth can sing. She’s not an amazing vocalist but that really doesn’t matter in a country were people think Britney Spears can sing and sell millions of albums.
