    • toodles

      I agree.

    • Cat

Sex is more important than talent nowadays.

  • Winona

They have 3/4 of The Voice coaching staff… why no Xtina?

    • Mike

Yea… I was going to say, they sure are pimping their “coaches”.

Christina Aguilera had alread performed on the concert series last year, on the day of her Bionic album release on June 8th. She could have performed some other songs from the album like Glam, Prima Donna and other songs if she had booked a date this summer.

  • Barry

Everybody on this list suxs except for Journey & Lenny.

  • Cat

    Ugh, I’ll pass.

I wouldn’t wake up at 4am to go see any of these people live. Rihanna? She’s a studio “singer” not a good live act. If they add Beyonce, Christina and/or Alicia to this list then I’ll definitely be there.

Rihanna’s a good singer. She does perform and interacts well with her live band. I don’t see her as a studio act at all. She wants to eschew that studio singer label given on her.

      • fancypants

Rihanna has the personality and stage presence of a mannequin on stage.

Yay for Chris Brown! Look at him now!
For additionnal performances, I hope they’ll add more ladies in the mix. I’m thinking of Queen Bey, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry. Hopefully Alicia Keys too.

Hopefully ABC will have a better line-up. This is really isn’t a good list. Here’s hoping they’ll add Adele, Lady Antebellum, Alicia, or anyone else with a little more talent. Hell, even bigger music names like Britney! Rihanna, C.Brown, Maroon 5, Cee-Lo are entertaining “studio” singers as someone said. Not the best live performers.

ABC’s Good Morning America likes to book a lot of country singers in their summer series such as Lady Antebellum. I think the staff is more into country over there, especially the Kentucky reared Sam Champion–he’s been wearing jeans a lot on some of the broadcasts and it matches to the jeans wearing country performers who go on there. Today’s more pop and R&B driven with their summer series than GMA is.

      • fancypants

GMA had Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Usher etc last year so I don’t think you have a point.

You may not like him but Chris Brown is a great live performer, that’s his element. And Adele would be a great addition.

Today’s got a good itinerary for their summer series. New Kids and Backstreet, Chris Brown, Pitbull (who’s been on a lot of big dance pop records lately!), Rihanna,Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton (who’s getting his due respect as an artist),Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Enrique Iglesias and Journey(those fans are going to be pulling out their old ’80s albums to display at the show) are going to be exciting to watch.

Never would have thunk I would find this so indsinpesbale.

  • PN

How come Jennifer Lopez didn’t book a date on the series? She’s got a hot new dance album too that rivals even Britney and Rihanna’s albums and even Lady Gaga’s upcoming album. She would have put out a terrific show too with the dancing and choreography. I saw her perform on Idol Thurs night and she was great! Her energy is top notch!
