Can’t say I literally understand what Shakira’s saying on her new single, “Rabiosa.”
But whatever’s coming between her sensual coos and the moves she’s pulling off in its video (“Come, pull me closer,” I hear) is okay with me.
After taking dips in a bathtub-turned-ball-pit at a party, she hits the pole—and sheds the wig she’s been using to hide her signature blonde mane—on this Latin-infused reggaeton track. Of course, the results are worth a look (or seven).

I think she looks better with the dark hair, but I don’t get why she’s pole dancing. It doesn’t fit with the rest of the video. Does she want to give up her current profession and become a stripper?

This is not regeatton. This is a mixture of merengue and dancehall reggae. The spanish version is much better, with the producer and writer to the song, El Cata (whom first had this song in his album).
