I saw Katy Perry in Orlando and it has to be one of the best concerts I have ever been to. She knows how to give the audience a show. If you’re not a band, you need to find a way to entertain the audience and that is what she did!

Plus the whitney houston cover, 90′s dance moves during last friday night and Kitty Purry! You can’t go wrong with that!

This mixed concert review is no different from what I read about another Katy Perry concert last week. The reviewer in the Raleigh, NC News and Observer thought that her June 14th Raleigh concert last week was too long at 2 hours and thought it was a little too sweet in its approach with the candy confections of the stage set. And she’s only done 2 studio albums, so that’s not quite enough for that 2-hour time frame (I’m sure she did most of Teenage Dream. I have that album but never purchased her first one). Maybe that’s why she included those remakes of her personal favorite songs by other artists for filler time.

oops. Forgot to mention Robyn in my last post!

Robyn is the epitome of amazing euro dance pop! We were the only ones in our section singing along and dancing along.

Robyn is fantastic. I’d love to see both Robyn and Katy in concert.

  • Yes I’ve heard of Robyn

Entertaining and funny article. Robyn is pop music perfected. The songs are catchy and I find myself singing them without even being concious of it. It’s sad, in a way, that she is so underappreciated Stateside. And her voice is just as good live as it is on a Cd. How many American Pop singers can you say the same about?

Weak singing voice? Listen to her Unplugged album. Or listen to her live and see that she actually sings. Anyway, this is pop music not rocket science. No need to attack the fluf of her songs. She’s churning out pop songs that are better than anybody’s right now. When will the media give her the credit that they give Lady Gaga?

I saw the California Dreams show in Birmingham in April and was pleasantly surprised by Katy’s live singing voice – much better than expected. I came away from the show an even bigger fan than before.

The opening act at that show, however, was a French electro band called “Yelle”, which I don’t anyone in the audience knew either.

Robyn honestly was horrible, all i wanted to do that night was see Katy Perry and hear good music. I literaly left my seat for her last couple of songs.

I saw KP in Dallas last night and it was a Show, too bad she couldn’t keep up. And personally, I disliked the Katy Kareoke part – it was a momentum killer, slowed the pace and enthusiasm down to seriously boring! Not worth the ticket price…
