American Idol champion Jordin Sparks will sing the national anthem at next week’s MLB All-Star Game in her hometown of Phoenix, according to the Associated Press. It won’t be the first major sporting event performance for Sparks, who also sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the 2008 Super Bowl.
Sparks and other celebrities, such as Nick Jonas and Chord Overstreet, will also participate in a softball game during All-Star week, leading up to the game on July 12.
