For a first single, fine. She has range, talent, and potential. Besides, the last time AI got it right was Carrie Underwood–whom this reminds me of.
The noisey, tinny and screeching sound made for a very disappointing debut. Not only does it sound like Jordan Sparks’ song, it sounds like just about every other song out there right now.

generic song, cliched lyrics and dated production, sung competently. Don’t see this as being a hit, not a Top 20 hit anyway. I’ve heard it hasn’t gone over well when Pia’s sung it live at the Idol tour dates so far.

It’s funny how the same Sparklecow herd loves to follow Pia around and make the same tired old comments…while they were the one’s responsible for the horrible “winner” this season. They HATE beautiful, talented women who remind them of thier own failures…look at the hate they gave Katharine McPhee…of course she’s successful in spite of the herd…Pia will be too…lol!

No-one is “voted off” AI…just others who’ve developed fans get voted “for”…either way, Nigel never releases voting totals, so their plan to get Pia in the studio faster by ‘staging’ a “lowest vote dismissal” worked and they get to make more $$ on her quicker. It’s ALL about the $4 afterall…

Unfortunately, the song is nothing special–just a generic type pop song. It does Pia no favors. Her voice, although very pretty–is kind of generic sounding as well. There is nothing really distinctive or unique about it. So, I think she needs some really great songs to showcase her vocal strengths and distinguish her from other pop singers.
