Beyoncé and her father/longtime manager Matthew Knowles parted ways professionally in a seemingly amicable way back in March.
But now some odd details of the split are coming to light: Yesterday, Knowles filed papers in a Houston court claiming that Live Nation—the massive concert conglomerate behind Beyoncé’s past tours—erroneously fingered him for stealing money from his daughter, which eventually led to his ousting as her manager.
According to the documents, which EW has obtained, Knowles claims the touring company made “false statements” to Beyoncé that he had pilfered funds while he was her manager. That led to an October 2010 audit conducted by Beyoncé’s legal team, and his subsequent firing.
Knowles claims he didn’t steal anything and has asked to depose Live Nation employees about how they came to their conclusions in the audit.
A spokesperson for Live Nation had no comment on the matter, and representatives for Beyoncé have yet to return requests from EW.

Beyonce is a well known credit thief. I guess thievery runs in the family.
@Jake, what do you mean by that? I’d never liked Beyonce, I’d always felt like she was always showing off in front of people when she performs.
I believe because I doubt Beyonce just blindly believed what someone told her. I’m sure there was proof! Boy it sure hurts when family does u dirty! Sidenote- there used to be rumors of her dad being a he cokehead…maybe he needed extra money to support that monkey on his back.

@Princess, I know of one example. There’s concert footage of her talking about her writing Irreplaceable but actually Neyo wrote, got paid and officil credit for it. It was an overseas concert so she probably thought she could lie and get away w/ it.
It is just that Beyonce has been notorious in the song writing commumity for getting credit, and a cut of the royalties, for songs she had little or no input in writing. it is not that others have not done te same but Beyonce took it to the extreme and was very agressive taking credits.
So true. She tried to take a writing credit on If I Were A Boy until it came to light that BC Jean had actually written the song. Beyonce dropped taking the writing credit only after BC Jean let everyone know she had written the song. Beyonce has also been known to change one line in a song and then take writing credits.

Beyoncé usually gets credit for changing the arrangement of the song, which isn’t “little to no input”. And being able to get credit for not doing much of the writing isn’t something that’s unique to Beyoncé, practically all pop stars do this, it’s actually very common. I don’t understand why she always gets singled out like she’s the only one. And she’s not even close to being the worst offender.

Im sure hearing that he was stealing from her right after he cheated on his wife and fathered another child pushed her over the edge.

That’s really sad. I also think that Beyonce probably would not have fired her father without concrete proof, so the allegations are very likely true. Guess that 10% wasn’t enough for him…
Not so good news for her. I think Beyonce’ really needs to find some common ground, because 4 is not doing well right now.
