Hey EW, you missed the BIG Idol announcement of the day – I read on another site that Casey Abrahms has been signed as the “face of Irritable Bowel Syndrome”!
Good for her! I’m actually interested in hearing her perform her own songs (unlike my feelings towards 99.9% of American Idol contestants, who I couldn’t be less interested in).
I have purchased all of Haley’s singles on Itunes – can hardly wait for her first album. She was the shining star of the season and will become a huge star IMO.

HOpefully the studio can make her awful voice sound better. Comparing her to Adele is so insulting to Adele. She wants to be Adele, but doesn’t nearly have the talent to back that up.
She doesn’t want to be Adele. She is Haley Reinhart, her “awful” voice was the most replayed minute of American Idol S10 by 12.7 million people. I think they outweigh your snark.
Hopefully the studio won’t mess with her distinctive voice and exceptional vocal abilities. That way she’ll achieve success on her own terms and you’ll be reminded every time you hear a song of hers on the radio that you don’t know crap.

Very excited, I’ve been waiting for this news since AI ended. I’m shocked we didn’t hear this sooner. Definitely buying her album!
it took so long because she reaslly isn’t that great. Its a low level contract she won’t last very long don’t blink you might miss it!

Your comment made me laugh, even though I don’t agree with you. I get that some people don’t like her raspy, bluesy voice, but I really can’t even fathom who you thought was better than her this season. I mean, seriously, she eclipsed them all…looking back, this season was so bland. No one took risks, no one stepped out of their comfort zone, except for Haley. Good for her that she is getting the props she deserves.
I knew this information a week ago thanks to Tim Halperin on Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. He was at the Idol tour when it stopped in Dallas last week and he was in studio the next morning and mentioned Haley had just been signed to Interscope. Excited for her.
Great news. Haley has a very unique voice which she has great control over. She’s also a very sweet and beautiful girl. Look for her EP of highlights from Idol (Walmart and Amazon have it.)
Those who think her arrogance or question her attitude might want to give her another change. Sometimes early impressions disipate upon longer look.

I am cautiously happy for her. I just hope the suits at Interscope/19 don’t wrap her up in some formulaic package where she looses all that was good about her voice and performances on idol.

I will not be buying her flop album either. Her fans are so ridiculous trying to compare this third-rate game show contestant with Grammy-winning musicians like Adele and Amy Winehouse. Get real! Hahaha!
Was just wondering why she hadn’t been signd anywhere yet! Looking forward to hearing what she does and really hoping Interscope doesn’t screw her like they do a lot of other AI contestants by giving them hackneyed songs.
GREAT! I will buy Haley’s record when it comes out..She’s got such a great voice and good stage presense. Her and Crystal Bowersox best two from Season 9 & 10. Like Casey Abrams and James Durbin a lot too.

Maybe she is not Adele or Amy W. But she sang the s*** out of RITD (and quite a few others)… LIVE with no autotune, lip synch, and really no stage theatrics … she also killed it on a few other songs under more pressure than i have seen any other contestant have …she has the talent to be big if she gets the right material out of the gate …
