Adam Levine and Stevie Nicks sing 'Leather and Lace' at the Hollywood Bowl: Watch it here

Adam Levine and Stevie Nicks: lovers forever, face to face!

During a Maroon 5 show at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl on Monday night, the Fleetwood Mac icon joined the Voice judge on stage for a surprise duet of “Leather and Lace,” Nicks’ 1981 hit with Don Henley.

“This is one of those moments where you don’t actually realize what you’re doing until you do it,” Levine said before bringing Nicks on stage. “What I’d like to do is sing this next song with one of my favorite artists of all time, and I’m sure one of yours too, God, do I love this woman.” And just in case you didn’t believe him, he concluded the performance by going down on his knees and prostrating himself in front of her.

Ever the superfan, Levine spent the last season of The Voice praising his little white-winged dove. He paired contestants Casey Weston and Tim Mahoney on “Leather and Lace,” and later gushed when season champion Javier Colon invited Nicks herself on stage for a version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” a song that’s already a well-documented favorite of Smashing Pumpkins, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the cast of Glee.  Shedding actual tears, Levine told Colon, “Stevie’s one of my heroes, and now you’re one of my heroes because you just sang with her.”

Now, the dude’s gonna be his own hero. Watch him live his dream below:

Nicks sure loves her reality TV singers, and it’s not just The Voice on her Tivo queue. Today we learned that America’s Got Talent winner Michael Grimm will join her on tour during the month of August. Sorry, Levine, you’ll just have to share her.

The Dave Grohl/Will Ferrell version is better.

Stevie is still my favorite…I remember buying her leather and lace album when I was in High School…loved every song on there and still do…love this duet!

Adam Levine is so overrated. It’s like Stevie singing with one of the guys from Blink 182 or something ridiculous like that. The people that suggested him for this routine need to grow up.

Can’t wait for Fleetwood Mac to tour again in ’12 !! Hope they come to Edmonton again….

I give him credit for idolizing one of the greatest rock signers of all time, but he’s no Don Henley – he really just can’t hold the stage with Stevie.

Actually, I think this song suits his voice really well. And he’s just SO pretty.

Oh Adam performing with Stevie Nicks must be mind boggling, but Stevie having Michael Grimm as an opening act on her tour in August! That’s going to be another hot gig! I think Adam was in tears and in awe because he finally got to perform with Stevie on stage when he didn’t get to on The Voice. I think after all those years hearing the Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks albums, he finally got his chance to perform with one of his musical heroes. I loved Stevie’s ’80s albums and I even love her new album–the music sounds fresh and creative and she sounds very relaxed in those songs.

Wow. Stevie is still so youthful and cute. What a phenomenal talent. She’s better than ever!

Can’t wait till Henley’s new album comes out.

Saw the Stevie Nicks/Rod Stewart tour in Seattle this May. Stevie Nicks new CD is incredible. If she is 25, it would have really taken off.

Perhaps if she hadn’t gone on that tour with Rod Stewart and promoted the album properly when it came out it would have taken off. Her management or record company really screwed up on that one. Too bad as it is her best album.

The Rod Stewart tour started three months before the album was released. Much of her promotional stuff was cancelled or rescheduled when the album did come out because she had the flu and then pneumonia.
