After an entire season of invading your televisions, the kids from Glee are getting read to take over your theaters for the summer with their 3D concert movie.
But if the anticipation is killing you and Aug. 12 just seems too far away, EW is happy to present your exclusive first listen to Darren Criss and the Warblers performing “Teenage Dream.”
The track, which can also be heard on the soundtrack (out Aug. 9), features Criss’ silky pipes, solid backing vocals from his blazered brothers, and just enough screaming girls to get the live experience (minus the temporary deafness that usually results from being surrounded by shrieks for extended periods of time).

I must say, as considerably as I enojeyd reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a good grasp to the topic matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from more than 1 angle. Or maybe you shouldnt generalise so much. Darren is live, but the back-up track is the Tufts Bubs, thank god. I was worried the actors who play the Warblers were going to try to actually sing. The lovely Bubs did a great job making TD all silky and smooooth, wouldn’t be the same without ‘em.
Are these the same “Bubs” that were on the first season of The Sing-Off?
Having spent a LOT of time with all the Warblers, I can tell you that they have more individual musical talent than a bus load of the Tufts dudes.
Couldn’t they have gotten a live band behind them to perform all those songs at that concert? I don’t like the backing tracks of these kinds of concerts; it doesn’t make the concert feel real.They need to sing and feel themselves over live instruments instead of singing over the record!

Just the Warblers. All the ND songs are the full versions.
Lies. All the versions on the tour are the short versions used on the show, not the full versions sold on iTunes. That’s true for the Warblers and ND.
That’s ridiculous. Why wouldn’t they do the full versions on the tour? Why would anyone pay for a full show of songs that are a minute and a half long?
I’ve seen the show and plenty of the songs are full-versions.
I like it if they sing on full length versions of ALL the songs! Hear themselved on an ENTIRE song and arrangement and not what they sing on TV. This minute and a half long mess will make concertgoers feel that they’re on a live taping of American Idol or something.

I’ve wondered as well. I’ve spoken with people who attended the tour who were convinced the “Warblers” were actually singing. I’ve wondered if they’ve transitioned from the Bubs backing tracks to the actors singing.
Yes, it’s the same. Darren sings (except during parts of Raise Your Glass), the Warbler actors don’t.
