We know you Gleeks can’t wait one more second to bust out your best a capella for the theater-wide sing-along that’s bound to commence when Glee: The 3D Concert Movie hits a multiplex near you.
And now you don’t have to. Today, all 23 songs from the soundtrack are streaming in full over at AOL Music, which means you can close your office door, crank up Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)” and do that “yee haw!” part all by yourself.
Or pretend like you’re Gwyneth and use a tambourine in all sorts of new and interesting ways on Cee Lo’s “Forget You.” Then you’ll be prepared for the movie’s August 12 release and, in honor of Santana, you’ll have enough time left over to pencil your eyebrows on.

I hope this means all 23 songs will be in the movie. I know that’s kind of asking a lot but I loved the concert and hope to see it again in it’s entirety.
The end of America. Just kill us now.
id say JERSEY SHORE is the end of America… those people are idiots and have miserable lives.
Excuse me? I think Glee gives hope that there are actually TALENTED people in the industry that don’t need big publicity stunts like Cyrus or Lovato. Glee delivers on screen and off unlike many of the modern “pop queens.”
There is a little too much production an uniformity for me to believe that these people were really singing live. Soloists yes, but definitely not anyone singing backup.
What happened to the acoustic version of Friday? That was fun…
As a professional musician, seeing “a cappella” misspelled so often on this website really irritates me.
@ Janice: I think they are using the current concert trick of singing live on top of their own voice and production recording… certainly it’s been reported that The Warblers (being extras and not singers) lip-synch to the backup tracks used in the show.
That said, it’s all good clean fun.
They are definitely all live. I’ve listened to the studio versions often enough to recognise that there is absolutely no lip synching involved here. Lea Michele almost drowns out Cory Monteith on a few of their duets, ha! Naya Rivera and Amber Riley really impressed me. Both fantastic live performers. Actually, this just proves how truly talented the entire cast is! I have to commend Heather Morris for being able to pull off ‘Slave 4 U’ while executing a dance routine of that calibre. Disappointed that ‘Empire State Of Mind’ and ‘True Colours’ aren’t included though. Jenna Ushkowitz did an AMAZING live rendition of the latter. I think I can safely say that I’ll be going to see this film AT LEAST three times!
No question that the individual soloists are live – but the backup voices are completely recorded per my previous post.
