So EW has completely done away with any semblance of journalism or professionalism? Every entry now is going to feature “you guys” or “y’all” as though it was written by a high school blogger?
She is horrendous. She cannot sing to save her life and she needs to stop butchering people’s songs. Horrid. She cannot sing on key to save her life, so isn’t it enough to endure her horrible tween bubble gum pop drivel without having to see her destroy my favorite artists songs? She is so over-rated and annoying.
Get a grip. If you hate her so much, why on earth read an article about her? She’s not trying to ruin your favorite songs, she’s trying to entertain people and honor where she’s playing by doing the extra work of learning new tunes that might apply more personally to the crowd. A lot of more experienced ‘artists’ might take a page from her book and actually think about where they’re playing. Take a chill pill and stay away from Taylor Swift articles so you can sleep at night, m’kay???

* = Real Eminem fans are those who are not apart of the “Love the way you lie” era.
**= Eminem’s music is that during his peak, between 1997-2005. He can still come out with some great songs, but he’s nothing like he was before.

Maybe she couldn’t do Love the Way You Lie because of the sensitive lyrics. Lose Yourself was cleaner to her for the lyrics and she put it in the show.
I think she’s doing those medleys to represent those city’s artists and anybody from that region or state. But Taylor venturing into rap with Eminem’s Lose Yourself? That’s quite a stretch! A little opposite of her usual country songs. Now if she would have had her drummer put some hard beats behind that guitar, that would have been cool! It’s hip-hop and you have to pull it off with the beats, but good for her for attempting an Eminem song in that medley in Grand Rapids.

Another fine example of how people who go to a concert need to shut the hell up and LISTEN. I’m not going to a concert to hear tone deaf idiots around me sing along. It’s even better when she starts singing it in a different melody and they still try to sing with her.
