It can’t buy him love, but money can buy Paul McCartney the mightiest summer concert tour.
…Oh, wait. Nope.
TicketsNow has released the numbers for July’s summer concerts in its monthly Entertainment Index, and Taylor Swift’s Speak Now tour sits atop the online marketplace’s list. Her tour accounted for 6.3 percent of all concert tickets sold via TicketsNow last month, bumping Sir Paul McCartney’s On The Run tour to the No. 2-earner spot after it reigned in June.
McCartney’s tour wrapped up its run last week in Cincinnati; meanwhile, Swift will continue her hot streak across North America through November.
Rounding out July’s top five sellers are Katy Perry’s California Dreams tour, Lil Wayne’s I Am Still Music tour and U2′s 360 tour, which wrapped its two-year marathon run on July 30 in Canada.
In the grander scheme of things, T-Swift’s concert clocks in at No. 6 on the list of overall events selling tickets through TicketsNow. The U.S. Open tennis tournament took July’s top honor, accounting for almost one-fifth of all tickets sold on TicketsNow.com.

Anyone who can’t stand Paul McCartney is, by defintion, a “chucklehead.” So you’re well named.
McCartney hasn’t done anything worth a crapola since his Beatles days. Sorry if I don’t share the same blind idol worship that you do.
I agree with alice, sir paul has done numerous things worth a “crapola” since the beatles. He has persued his career as a songwriter, world famous musician, and idol like life style throughout his years even after the Beatles, he also has inspired millions of musicians to pursue their dreams as well! He was even United by the Queen if England!
Chucklehead: Accusing me of “worshipping” McCartney is the lame response of a hater who really doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Like any artist, McCartney’s career is filled with hits and misses. Unfortunately for him, his huge notoriety meant his misses always got more attention than the misses of other artists. Bob Dylan wrote plenty of mediocre songs but no one beats him over the head about it like they go after Paul for crap like Ebony & Ivory.
You are talking out of your butt, though, about McCartney. His best include Ram, Band on the Run, McCartney and McCartney II, Chaos and Creation, and Electric Arguments. Educate yourself, fool.

Anyone who has seen her tour knows she deserves it. Her vocals were stronger than ever. Her theatrics were incredible. And she was as kind and humble as anyone could be. She is a great entertainer.

To be honest, I have been to both and Taylor’s tour really deserves to be No 1. It was spectacular, don’t get me wrong, Paul’s was still sensational, but Taylor’s had the edge with pitch-perfect vocals and theatrics and I had the strongest ‘feel-good’ vibe there I think I have had anywhere!
Paul’s tour had so many less stops, so of course it could not be number one. By the way, it Taylor’s vocals are “pitch perfect” (as you claim) then she must be using Auto-Tune.
Her vocals weren’t pitch perfect but they had improved greatly over the course of the years.
Taylor Swift definitely deserves this, and if you’ve gone to her concert you probably agree. Like you said, Jayne, she was singing very well and the whole time I was entertained by her fellow performers, too; there was always something to look at (and listen to, of course). LOVE HER! p.s. I’m glad she beat Katy Perry because, honestly her songs are catchy but she herself isn’t that great. Tay rox the singing (no matter what people say) and the songwriting, for sure! In that category, she’s definitely #1

I am going to see Taylor Swift in concert, and she has really good stage presence, but Paul McCartney is an all around better musician, songwriter, singer, performer, guitar player, you name it.
Theres no doubt that Paul is more talented. He is music legend and he was in the freakin beatles for crying out loud. But taylor swift has talent too, her voice has improved so much and she makes good music and im so happy to see taylor swift doing so well. She is such a kind, sweet, loving and caring girl. I hope she finds her prince charming some day

I totally agree with you taylor fan – Taylor Swift is amazing and certainly is a lady. Taylor definitely has a very generous giving heart. Taylor’s voice is strong and better all the time and I love all her music.
I love Paul McCartney too, but Taylor’s is the concert to experience.

I have heard taylor in concert and i can say HANDS DOWN that her vocals were amazing some songs even sounded better than the album; I also think that a good concert has all the aspects stage presents, good scenery, and overall a singer thats going to give it her all every night and on top of that put in a twist for every show stop –all of that takes dedication and thats why Taylor Swift deserves top spot!
