I’m so disappointed in country music. I’m a native Tennessean, and this show along with the CMT Music Awards were just an embarassment to the name country, the city of Nashville, and the state of Tennessee. Like the great Jason Boland says, “Hank Williams wouldn’t make it now in Nashville, Tennessee.”
So what? Guy Lombardo couldn’t make it in popular music now either. Neither could Andy Williams or Robert Goulet. It’s called evolution.
Couldnt pay me to watch either of those two Idol country losers.
What would it cost to get you to STFU?
Haley should have been there, she is better than anyone on that whole show, Haley could have shown them all how to sing. Haley is the bestest singer evar and she should have been up there.
You’ll get it eventually, I’m sure.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Scotty and Lauren segment. Could they be any cuter? I thought Lauren held her own with Martina and seemed very humbled and excited to be performing with her.
CMA fest was great. country music is honestly a gem! the only thing i found wrong with the broadcast was the sound. almost all the performances sound auto tuned & no country artist uses that. in raw amateur footage it sounds better. whoever was the sound engineer needs to be fired! regardless country music rocks!
Shouldn’t it be described as “Country’s Night to Country,” or “Country’s Night To Shine?” I suppose that now there’s little difference between Pop-Rock and Country-Rock.
lauren is so amazing, so simple .. everything in it is so natural!
Lauren is a fat, dumpy, dumb as dirt , backward teen who is spray tanned and made up to look like a hooker. Her voice is only ‘okay’. She will soon be forgotten because she is low on talent and not too hot looking. Oh…and she needs to stay in school and LEARN ENGLISH!
