I understand why she’s upset about the leaks, I mean I would be too. But on the other hand if it’s mostly unreleased material from older albums, it’s kind of cool that it’s out there for her fans. A lot of other pop stars have had their unreleased music leaked and most haven’t made any kind of deal out of it. No offense to Kelly, I really like her. It’s just I like some of these unreleased songs of hers, I’m kind of glad they leaked.
Agreed. If it was new tracks from the unreleased album, I’d totally get her being upset. But if it’s old material that’ll probably never make its way onto an official release, she should really relax and be happy that people want to hear her music.
Yeah but people still stole from her and she has every right to be made. I doubt you would be all cool and relaxed if someone stole unreleased tracks from you regardless how old the songs were.
I think she got upset because people thought that it was from the new record and they were questioning “where is Kelly going with these tracks?” so she just wanted to set the record straight. I give her praise for handling it so well and yeah she has every right to be upset, I would be.
But it was some of her new stuff too for the upcoming album. This can destroy a career, and Kelly has employees that depend on her. There is a lot of pressure to be successful, and this threatens it all. I wouldn’t want people listening to my unfinished work or stuff that I did not want released.

that’s an awful feeling to experience, no matter what. Who cares if she was vacationing in Tahiti.. the fact that she got stolen from is negative action no ones deserves. I’m glad to hear that she will be dropping a new album soon. I think she has one of the best voices today. She is my favorite American Idol bar none.
Calling this her first public remarks on the incident is absurd. She wrote about it on her blog and it’s been reported in the press for months.
I’m excited for KC, I can’t wait for her new album, it’s gonna be as great as the other ones, and what’s great about her is she doesn’t want it to be exactly like the previous ones, she doesn’t want a “Breakaway 2″ or “My December 2″, she wants to make it unique and exciting, and with her voice, she can do anything she wants

Luxury problems. She’s not even planning on releasing most of them? And she’s concerned that it confused fans on the direction she was going on the next album? So what? I thought this was gonna be about her next album being leaked almost entirely. That would be an issue cause you’d have to write new stuff, maybe. But this? Come on.
There were new songs that were leaked. This is her career, and she has employees that depend on her. She had her songs stolen. Period. It does not matter that she is famous or rich, etc. Having your personal property stolen makes you feel vulnerable and victimized no matter how much money you have.
This article is a little misleading–first off, there weren’t “almost an album’s worth” of tracks stolen from her. Try 50. Some were songs she recorded as demos but never released, some were demos for other artists, some were leftovers from Breakaway and My December, and some were for the new album. To say she’s “whining” is ridiculous. She has every right to be upset and voice her opinion on behalf of the people who worked on these songs. She’s not the only one getting screwed here, but since the spotlight’s on her of course she’s going to talk about it when asked.

Kelly is so amazing. It is horrible that people think it is okay to steal music. Disgusting. I don’t blame Kelly for being upset. The music business is going right down the drain. Why buy it when you can steal it. These people who do that are criminals. Illegal downloads will ruin the music industry.
A lot of Kelly Clarkson’s leaked song were pretty good, I just wish that all of those songs were on her albums. Why would anybody steal her work after she has worked so hard on them? I can understand why Kelly is so upset because I would be upset if I was in her situation.

I think they are all great! and even if they did leak and ended up on any album if they weren’t so old and weren’t meant to be I would still buy all the same. All of them are amazing!
