“Cheers to the freakin’ weekend/ I’ll drink to that,” she sings on the hook. It’s party time, folks! And that’s exactly what the video makes apparent.
Behind the scenes footage of her LOUD tour and down time on the road is used here. Look out for shots of Rih-Rih in an elaborate getup while attending a festival, Kanye West and Jay-Z hitting the stage, Cee-Lo goofing off, and Avril Lavigne knocking back a drink. Must be nice having such a motley crew of friends.

Cue the hater comments, but I really love this song and video, she could’ve easily done some lame generic bar type thing, but the video just makes you wanna have a good time in a different way too.
Of course, you know there will be plenty of haters. Its a good pre drinking song before you go out
It zoomed up that chart faster than her last single California King Bed. California stalled at No. 37, but it did get respectable airplay. But Cheers jumped from 50 to 25 on the hot 100. It’s got a funky groove–sounds like they recorded that song in a bar instead of a recordiing studio.

They played this song during Happy Hour last night and everyone went nuts!!! Such a good drinking song. And the video actually made me like Rihanna. I always thought she had no personality, but she is such a down to earth chick. Who would’ve thought Rihanna would release a more entertaining video than Beyonce. 2012 really is coming.
