Rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris is a free(r) man, released from prison a month before his scheduled late-September discharge date. The Atlanta native left the Forrest City Correctional Facility in Arkansas early this morning.
T.I., 30, and wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested September 1, 2010, on suspicion of drug possession during a traffic stop in Los Angeles, violating the terms of his probation following his term behind bars for a 2008 weapons conviction.
This morning’s leave ends his 11-month sentence. MTV reports that he’s on his way to a halfway house, though his publicist would only confirm that he’s left jail.
In any case, T.I. is glad to get back to his family and work.
“Feels great to be back where I belong…Back in the arms of those who need me the most,” he tweeted at 9:30am today.
“The storm is over & da sun back out,” he continued. “IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!”

He really did just fall off the map in the music world since being locked up. I’m interested in seeing what he can pull off going into the new year.
He needs to go to the studio and put together a classic album after all of the ups and many downs he has been through the past few years.
Bill, I deinfitely agree with Godspeed You! Black Emperor – I'll have to check out Mouse on the Keys. Thanks!
PLEASE stay out of jail this time and make some good music…unlike Lil wayne did..
Good that T.I. was released and did his time while staying low-key. Now he can get back to making music as well as some movies! He’s one of the best rappers in the game with consistent hit records and albums. He needs to make a solid rap album but don’t put too many guest appearances. Keep it down to only 2 songs and the rest of the album is his own individual songs. Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross, Chris Brown (an R&B singer who’s been on nearly EVERY rapper’s album this year) and Drake can’t be on every album even if he wants to get them on his.
