Sad Sk8r Girl alert! She could have worn waterproof mascara, but that probably wouldn’t be quite as cinematic.
Avril goes deep on her latest — sobbing on the floor, drowning her sorrows (literally) in a bathtub, and otherwise lamenting the “damn damn damn” loss of a very good man.

AWFUL.
Overrated poseur who’s career should’ve died 2 CD’s ago.
It’s rare for me to not give a song at least one full listen, but damn, damn, damn, that song is horrible. I have to agree with ICK – after her fantastic first album, she’s released nothing since that impressed me. I bought her two follow-ups based on how much I loved her first CD, but I never listen to them at all. I hope she makes a strong comeback, but it’s not going to be with this piece of crap.
I gave this song a try. Wow, I want those minutes back.
..as worse as Lady Gaga’s songs. Epic fail!
I love her and Inter-RacialDating.com was brilliant
you are totally Wrong. her last album is a pretty good one, because is all about love and care. see the songs. if you really want a CD full of Sexy music, go to rihanna or katie perry “I kis a girl” or something like that. Avril is good as is.
Seriously! Isn’t she over 30 years old now and still pretending to be a jaded 16 year old girl?
She just like Taylor Swift. Stop singing like your teenager!. But Avril does look like she sixteen
make your homework. she’s only 26.
if you dont like her, at least respect our taste. Avril rocks, period.
I hope that Avril Lavigne does more mainstream movies from now on. She has only done Over the Hedge (2006), Fast Food Nation (2006) and The Flock (2007).
That is my FAVORITE song from Avril’s album! Even more than the hit What The Hell. And how she puts so much emphasis on Damn, Damn, Damn in that catchy chorus! And the music that Max Martin and Shellback played and produced on this song is undeniable melodic and rhythmic pop for Avril!
PN, I think your name is really PR, and that you work for Ms. Lavigne’s record company.
No, I’m not a PR person, I just like the song!
Eh, @ICK- Cut her some slack. It’s Friday.
I thought it was going to be a cover of Pink Floyd, and that would’ve made me cry.
I swear her “music career” is only out there to promote her sh!tty clothing line.
Oh please, nobody is going to remember this one-hit wonder in 20 years. Lady Gaga outsells her, out-performs her, will one day be in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, and is quite simply the better role model for us! FACT!
You little monsters really are scary!
One-hit wonder?
She’s had nine top tens since 2002 including 5 top tens: Complicated, Sk8r Boi, I’m With You, My Happy Ending, and the #1 Girlfriend.
In fact she’s spent more weeks in the Hot 100 than Gaga has.
Sorry that should be nine top 40 songs with 5 in the top 10.
I’ve observed some people on internet forums / communities, and they behave like Lady Gaga; impulsive, emotional, demanding, outbursts… and that stuff is rewarded in some liberal communities. All they have to do is display an undeserved, misguided self-righteousness, especially if it’s against traditional / conservative values, and they are celebrated for it. Thats Gaga’s fans..Disgusting and appalling!
Oh well, at least Avril is not a copycat like Lady Gaga- the illuminati puppet and serial image theft!
She’s had several hits since 2002! Maybe that’s the first time you’ve heard of Avril Lavigne’s music. Don’t judge a singer by just only one song. Maybe you heard Complicated and just tuned out by then when she did her later albums.
i prefer the song and video for I Miss You.
Are you talking about When You’re Gone, because if you are, I completely agree?
Ok, so is it that she is finally growing up, but does anyone else notice the resemblence to Sarah Michelle Gellar besides me!? I mean, not identical…but its kinda there, esp., since the video as dark as any old Buffy ep woulda been.
Also, if the follow up single “Smile” wasn’t a hit, what makes her think this is gonna do any better? Her biggest mistake was releasing this depressing dark disc the year Adele decided to finally find State-side success.
I thought Smile should have been a much bigger hit. A very fun pop song.
Love her
Like the song. Hate the video.
I find the comments on here laughable.
I liked her debut, and was a huge fan of “Under my Skin”. “The Best Damn Thing”, well, the title was an oxymoron. Finally, “Goodbye Lullaby” is a sweet, simple, pop album, but is again a disappointment. It provides solid pop songs dealing with her divorce, but lack what her first and second albums had. Still hoping for a comeback, but loosing hope….
She’s going to get conjunctivitis if she keeps using so much eyeliner.
the song is simple and she does seem to be stuck in diary confessions. I don’t mind it. Let go is pretty awesome … the rest lack something.
