It's not deflating, haters! Despite press rumors, Beyoncé says her baby bump isn't fake

Beyonce on 'Sunday Night HD'

Is Beyoncé wearing a prosthetic stomach?

Rumors started circulating about the very pregnant Sugar Mama after footage of her appearance on Sunday Night HD, an Australian talk show, began to surface online.

In the clip, Beyonce’s belly appears to deflate as she sits down, leading some viewers to think she’s faking her bump while a surrogate carries her child.

But before you conspiracy theorists get your tinfoil hats ready, Beyoncé’s rep, Yvette Noel-Schure, has already said the fake-bump rumors are “stupid, ridiculous and false.”

Aren’t there plenty of rational explanations for this? Awkward shadows cast from those unflattering TV lights? Maybe some wayward Spanx rolled down the wrong way? Plus, we’ve already seen The Pregnancé in a bikini, and it’s real.

Don’t make Jay-Z come after y’all. You can watch the video footage for yourself after the jump.

Look out for the BéBé bump around 0:56…

Even if she wanted to fake a pregnancy, don’t we think she could afford a good prosthetic? I really don’t think she’s just shove a big balloon up her dress.

How does this apply to this article? wow.

  • Radar

I definitely think she’s pregnant. I definitely think she’s wearing a prosthetic bump to “enhance” it. These pics are not the best – other entertainment sites have the best evidence. Baby belly’s do not bend like that.

    • elaine benes

You “definitely” do not THINK. Get over the conspiracies. Find a life worth living.

      • Joline

And life as the grammar police is a life worth living? Get off the board if you are so busy being productive.

      • Gretchen Weiners

Geez Joline, you’re an idiot. She wasn’t talking about your spelling or grammar.

    • elaine benes

      Dear Joline:

If you can read at a 4th grade level please re-read my post. I was not critiquing “grammar” but an asinine thought process

      Best,

      Elaine

        Bang!! Zoom!!!

    • True Blue

No, but loose clothing can indeed bunch like this on a pregnant belly when you lean over.

    • Erykah

The bump didn’t bend it was the fabric from the garment. Take it from someone who studied fashion design it was the dress that bumched up not the stonack. People who don’t have anything nice to say should just stop talking. Beyonce is a young woman who I am sure is capable of reproducing because she is young. Look all of the celebrities who have children well in their forties and no one criticizes or questions their babies origin. Shame on anyone and everyone who has anything negative to say!

  • Amber

I’m surprised the fans and the stans aren’t here yet…you know they love any opportunity to define “Beysus”

  • abadstroller

Pregnancy shows not just in the belly, but in face adn the bustline, people. Also, depending on water retention and bloating (maybe from a craving for brussel sprouts sorbet or something equally gassy), a pregnant belly can appear slightly bigger or smaller–the fit of the clothes matters too. What’s really bad is being asked when the baby is due, and you’re not pregnant! You can then give your interrogator the evil eye and say “No, I’m just fat!” or “It’s the broccoli brioche I had at breakfast!”

  • abadstroller

    Oops: “and”, not “adn”. Sorry!

  • Phil

Why is this even a headline on EW.com?? So sad that any writer would even waste web space with this story. ‘Not deflating’ as if any woman, in the music industry or in general has ever been able reverse the course of nature. Its not even attention grabbing, it makes you sound ridiculously daft.

    • Adam

At least this is an entertainment website! ABC News was one of the first outlets to report this as a headline. Pathetic really.

    • daisy

for real dude, this is an entertainement website. This is exactly where this belongs

      • Phil

That headline, “It’s not deflating, haters!” is the MOST ridiculous headline ever while referring to a pregnancy, whether its fake or not. Someone who is a journalist with even a shred of taste wouldn’t use that.

    • daisy

for real dude, this is an entertainment website. This is exactly where this belongs

    • JackieB

Actually I was wondering when EW would post on it so I could read the comments.. they were late on this one. Other entertainment sites had it first.

  • Blarls Smarkley

    Beyonce is annoying.

  • sam

This is one of the most ridiculous things that I have read here. What is next–maybe the baby is an alien? Leave her alone and find some real news to report.

    • Kelcie

Well they did say Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s baby was an alien…

***my best friend’s mom makes $77 an hour on the computer. She has been out of job for 9 months but last month her check was $7487 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read about it here NuttyRich.c0m

    • Gretchen Weiners

NUTTY RICH dot COM. Really? Is that the best you could come up with? EW, you need to do something about all these spammers.

  • Alice

They have to be kidding about this, right? That dress has an umpire waist which does two things: 1) The tightest part of the dress is directly under the chest and the fabric billows outward, therefore the bunching comes from that extra fabric (you know the type of dresses/shirts that make girls look slightly preggers if they’re not? Yep, this is it) and 2) BECAUSE of this extra fabric, the baby bump is accentuated more. I mean, COME ON, I wear umpire waisted stuff all the time and I’m not pregnant; I do know the consequence is that I’ll look a little rounder in the belly, but they’re comfortable and accentuate the chest nicely. My point is that this is a common type of silhouette in clothing and since it’s looser around the belly, she probably wore something like this because it’s most comfortable on her at the moment. If it makes her look extra pregnant, no biggie. But seriously, fake baby bump?

  • PN

She’s 6 months pregnant–the bump has not gotten as big yet. I commend them for going to press to prove that she is pregnant. And I’m sure she was wearing a comfortable dress to cover the belly area.

  • Amae

She’s so pretty w/o makeup! You don’t see very many celebs who can pull off the no makeup look, but definitely can. <3!

  • Amae

    but *SHE definitely can. lol my bad X}
