DeAndre Cortez Way, the 21-year-old rapper known as Soulja Boy, was arrested early this morning for marijuana possession along with four other men after being pulled over in Temple, Georgia, for a traffic violation.
TMZ reports that police found a “substantial amount of marijuana and cash” — possibly some $70,000 — inside the vehicle, as well as several firearms, though it is not currently clear whether the men had legal permits for the guns.
Soulja is currently being held at Carrol County Jail.

It is always sad when something as beautiful, natural and beneficial for thousand of years like Cannabis get’s lumped in with rappers. There are presidents, writers, scholars, athletes, doctors, and wonderful human beings of all walks of life that CHOOSE to use cannabis as a healthy part of their happy lifestyle…
Honestly, Souja Boy is already messed up anyways. Its not a shocker really. He should know better. I’m sick and tired of rappers gettin arrested for foolishness. Its time to grow up!

…Maybe he was distressed because his album last year tanked in the sales? It just came and vanished off the charts in about 2 months. I don’t know what would possess him to take marijuana. I hope he wasn’t taking it because that would be DESTRUCTIVE to his music career and no one will get his next album!
