The country quartet Little Big Town, known for its smokin’ smooth harmonies, has covered Maroon 5′s “Moves Like Jagger” for the latest installment of its online video series “Scattered, Smothered & Covered.”
I’m reminded of something Keith Urban once told me: “If you’ve got something on the ghetto blaster that sounds like it should never have banjo anywhere near it, that’s the perfect song to put banjo on. Banjo goes on everything — it’s a bit like whipped cream, really. Well, I guess whipped cream probably shouldn’t go on fried chicken, but banjo does seem to fit really well on anything that’s got a groove.”
Also, you may not have seen a white man’s overbite on an upright bass player since Casey Abrams was on American Idol. Watch it here:

Sugarland and Little Big Town cover Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’: Should it have been a country song from the get-go?

I vastly preferred that to the nasally original. Nicely done, folks!
That rocked, I wonder if I can download this because I have always enjoyed the music and the tempo of the song, but I agree with minutiae.
These guys are so talented. Great harmony. I saw them open for Keith Urban 7 years ago–they’re great live. I wish they could get some recognition in the country world.
so much better than Maroon 5 – the harmony and the banjo rock.
How are 7 people a quartet?
Only the singers are considered LBT, the rest are their back-up band. Check out their YouTube channel for their versions of other songs. They have amazing harmonies.
This rocked. I saw them open for Keith Urban a few years ago. Great group. Is this recorded, can I buy it someplace?
Keith was right. The banjo was just what this song needs. LBT do a much better job that Maroon 5.
Aren’t they great?!! I saw them open for keith several times and it was so easy to become a fan. They are sensational!!!! Wishing even more success and every happiness for Little Big Town.
