With two albums forthcoming (one solo project, one with his old rap group Goodie Mob), a memoir in the works, and a regular place on your television, it’s hard to imagine needing any more Cee Lo in your life.

But for those who absolutely demand as much Cee Lo as possible and also have yearnings for deluxe buffets and Blackjack, Mr. Green has an early birthday gift.

The Soul Machine is going to be setting up shop in Las Vegas when the end of the summer rolls around. Starting on August 29, he’ll own the stage at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for a running show he calls Loberace (which is either the greatest pun ever birthed or the end of all culture as we know it).

The press release for the show promises a full-blown Vegas revue that works through not only Cee Lo’s music but also the history of rock and rollĀ  — and, for those of you who are into such things, “sexified showgirls.”

A show full of Cee Lo songs would be a little spotty, especially compared to the types of productions that Elton John and Celine Dion have crafted. But with the aid of the entire popular music canon, he should be able to knock out a pretty impressive show. And make no mistake about it: Cee Lo loves a good cover: At last year’s Lollapalooza, he ran the gamut from Billy Idol to Journey to Danzig. And he has been barking Violent Femmes’ “Gone Daddy Gone” since the Gnarls Barkley days. Listen below:

In fact, the press release promises that you’ll also be hearing Cee’s interpretations of Prince and the Rolling Stones as well.

What are your personal cover and catalog requests, readers? Consider this a formal ask for an extra-heavy rendition of Black Sabbath’s “Sabbra Cadabra.”
