Ingrid Michaelson, who recently released her fifth album, Human Again, proves that you can also go home again.
The native of New York City’s Staten Island recently teamed with the borough’s most famous non-Wu-Tang-related musical collective: The PS 22 Chorus (last seen “Rolling in the Deep” in a commercial for Target).
They joined up for a run through “Blood Brothers,” one of the twangier tunes from Human Again. Check out the exclusive video below.
The tag-team was put together to announce Michaelson as one of the celebrity judges for DoSomething.org and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation's Battle for the Bands campaign, which encourages people to create videos showcasing why music education is important and should not be cut from school programs.
American Idol winner Kris Allen will be joining Michaelson behind the judges' table, and Kelly Clarkson is acting as the campaign's spokeswoman. Submissions will be taken until April 12, so if you're interested in keeping music education alive, head over to DoSomething.org's official site for more information.
