Dane Cook notwithstanding, the acts of goodwill regarding the Aurora tragedy that took place during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises have yet to slow down. DC Comics has delayed its next Batman publication out of deference, Warner Bros. (the studio behind the Christopher Nolan trilogy-ender) has made substantial donations to various Aurora charities, and Christian Bale has been visiting hospitalized victims during the week. Now, Hans Zimmer is chipping in: the composer behind the Dark Knight Rises soundtrack has written song dedicated to the victims of the senseless tragedy.

As Zimmer said on his personal Facebook profile, “‘Aurora’ is dedicated to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. I recorded this song in London in the days following the tragedy as a heartfelt tribute to the victims and their families. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Aurora Victim Relief organization. The track is available on iTunes shortly and you can donate here: http://bitly.com/QmUiWM.”

And, as the “Aurora” composition’s webpage itself says, “This song was recorded in London following the tragedy as a heartfelt tribute to the victims and their families. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Aurora Victim Relief organization through GivingFirst.org.”

As of this post’s publishing, 6,642 Facebook users (and growing) have given Zimmer’s update a thumbs-ups. You can head here to listen to the song and/or donate toward the fund for yourself.
