Drake’s been promising it for some time now, and yesterday, he finally delivered: his collaboration with the late R&B great Aaliyah.

The low-key track, titled “Enough Said” and produced by Drizzy pal Noah “40″ Shebib, features never-before-heard vocals from Aaliyah, 11 years after her death. Take a listen below:

The song’s just the first of Drake’s allegedly extensive Aaliyah strategy. According to various reports, the “HYFR” singer not only got a tattoo of the deceased singer’s face, but he’ll also serve as executive producer on an upcoming posthumous album of hers.

And while that hasn’t been confirmed yet, longtime Aaliyah collaborator Timbaland felt compelled to comment on the matter. “I know they’re trying to drop some Aaliyah records,” he said in an interview with New York’s Power 105.1 FM. “But if he does it, it should be with me and Missy.”

“The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him, and Missy to be all on the record,” he continued. “The best decision, what the fans would want to see, is all three of us. It can’t be something to make money off of, ’cause I think it’s wrong to make money off the dead.”

But what if the dead were used to settle beefs? A number of hip-hop fans are buzzing about whether or not Drake snuck in a Chris Brown diss in “Enough Said.” His verse includes the line “Selling under 150/You n—s gotta be kidding/Is this even a discussion?” That, the theory goes, is a thinly veiled attack on Brown’s Fortune, which debuted to 134,000 in first-week sales last month.

Do you approve of Drake’s Aaliyah activity, readers? And what do you make of the possible Chris Brown slight?
