Watch out, Shania from The New Normal — the real Cher’s back.
Warner Brothers has confirmed that Cher’s first album in over a decade is due out early next year, with a tentative March release date. The pop vet’s most recent studio album, Living Proof, came out back in 2001 and debuted in the top 10, going on to sell more than a million copies worldwide.
So, what will Cher’s 26th effort sound like? “Eclectic!” the woman herself tweeted, adding that it’ll be in line with her massively successful 1998 album Believe. “Lots of dance, but none [are] SAME KIND OF DANCE ! Have Big ass Choruses, Some HEART RIPPERS!”
Well, we’ll see about all that. One thing is all but certain, though — we’ll be seeing a lot of Cher on TV singing competitions next year. In the meantime, scroll down to listen to “Woman’s World,” the new Cher single that you probably didn’t even know came out a couple of weeks ago.
