The (underwhelming) best-selling album of 2013: Justin Timberlake's '20/20 Experience'

In 2013, a mediocre year for mega-albums, Justin Timberlake’s mediocre The 20/20 Experience outsold everything else, going home with 2.43 million smooth-grooving fans.

As Billboard notes, no other top album has sold so little since SoundScan began tracking sale 22 years ago—for contrast, Adele’s 21 moved nearly 6 million in 2011 and almost 4 and a half million in 2012, giving her the top seller two years running.

Riley Keough takes out Justin Timberlake in 'TKO' video -- WATCH

Have you ever wanted to spend seven minutes watching Elvis Presley’s granddaughter alternately drag Justin Timberlake through a desert and make out with him in her kitchen?

Then today is your day, my friend! Timberlake’s new ‘TKO’ music video bypasses the easy boxing theme for a moody, predictably sexy treatment from “skateboarder turned visual effects artist turned director” Ryan Reichenfeld. The hitmaker shares his screen with just one other person: 24-year-old Riley Keough, of Magic Mike (and, you know, “being Elvis’s granddaughter”) fame.

She pouts, she smolders behind the wheel of a pickup truck, she angrily tosses a bowl of salad to the ground — but thankfully, she doesn’t literally kill Timberlake with her “coo coochie coochie coo,” despite Timbaland’s protestations to the contrary.

Watch the clip below, then tell me if you agree that Reichenfeld’s kitchen tableau seems to be inspired by this 2002 Harlequin Blaze novel. Uh, not that I’ve read that book or anything.

Justin Timberlake responds to 'Take Back the Night' controversy, says song title was a coincidence

Justin Timberlake was too busy bringing sexy back to go to college — which, on the whole, seems to have worked out just fine for him.

Unfortunately, it also means that when Timberlake decided to call his next single “Take Back the Night,” he apparently had no idea that the name was already trademarked by a sexual assault awareness foundation that’s been holding emotionally-charged campus events since the ’70s.

Luckily, the Internet was there to inform Timberlake of his folly — leading the singer to release the following statement to Radar:

Justin Timberlake's racy video for 'Tunnel Vision' will not be moved

It should probably come as a surprise to no one that Justin Timberlake’s new video for his latest single off The 20/20 Experience is … racy.

After debuting the scandalous cover art for his single “Tunnel Vision,” it seems the next natural step was a similarly steamy music video. It just happened to be too steamy for YouTube.

Last Wednesday, Timberlake tweeted:

And he wasn’t kidding. The seven minute video features several naked women dancing and writhing in smoky rooms. The man himself remains fully clothed, and is never seen in the same space as the women, except as a projection.

YouTube took the video down hours after it premiered, citing violations of the site’s nudity policy.

“While our guidelines generally prohibit nudity, we make exceptions when it is presented in an educational, documentary or artistic context, and take care to add appropriate warnings and age restrictions,” a Google spokesperson told ABC News.

Apparently Timberlake’s video fell into the “artistic” (or, um, educational?) category, because it was back up on YouTube shortly — with a content warning requesting that users sign in and verify their age. Check it out here if you dare: READ FULL STORY
