Britney Spears' 'Till the World Ends' video teaser: Look, I can bounce-dance!

Recently, it seems like a musical treat from Ms. Britney Spears has been dropping nearly every day: snippet after snippet, single after single, a video, the full album! Today (err, yesterday, really) it was a 30-second teaser for Spears’ next video for club banger “Till the World Ends.” (The full video will hit VEVO tomorrow, and don’t worry—we’ll be all over it here at The Music Mix.)

The clip we’ve been treated to is basically the “oh-oh-oh-oh-oh” chorus part of the jam, and the main feature — when it comes to Britney’s ever-delightful moves — is bouncing! Because, why wouldn’t you bounce to such a chorus? It just feels natural. Also, the vid features a post-apocalyptic vibe that finds people going underground…to go bounce-dance with her. Naturally! As of right now, there seems to be no product placement, except, of course, Spears’ standard wigs and weaves (if those count). Enjoy here:

Britney Spears in 'serious talks' with possible opening act Nicki Minaj: Who should she pick?

Now that the smoke has cleared from Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears’ botched attempt at a joint tour, Spears is rumored to have her eyes on several new prospects.

TMZ has quoted an unnamed source as saying the she’s in “serious talks” with rapstress Nicki Minaj. Lil Wayne’s Young Money teammate would be a great fit for Britney’s tour: She’s hot, pop, and insanely energetic. And the tour Nicki’s currently on, Wayne’s I Am Still Music jaunt, will be over in time to make Britney’s June 17 start.

In addition, MTV is reporting that Jersey Shore cast member DJ Pauly D might be spinning at the top of Spears’ show (he and Spears share a manager). The Jonas Brothers’ Joe Jonas is also in contention for the opening slot, they say—less odd than you might think, since he’s set to release a dance-oriented pop album.

So who do you think Britney should pick: The rapper, the rocker and hopeful dance star, or the Shore-thing DJ? Take our poll after the jump and weigh in.

Enrique Iglesias says he's 'sorry for the confusion' about him touring with Britney Spears

After killing the dreams of fans hoping to get a two-for-one bang for their pop-loving bucks through his reps, Enrique Iglesias took to his WhoSay page to apologize to those who thought they’d see him and fellow star Britney Spears on tour together this summer.

“Hey guys, sorry for the confusion regarding a possible tour in the summer with Britney Spears,” he wrote. “We are on the Euphoria Tour and will continue to do so including some soon-to-be-announced dates in US. So hope to see all of you soon.”

Guess we’ll have to wait for Iglesias and Spears to hit a town near us separately. What do you think? Let us know.

Carson Daly on Britney Spears' strict interview conditions: 'It's insane'

You can try Till the World Ends, but you won’t be getting a live, unedited interview with Britney Spears—even if you’ve known her for approximately half her life.

Carson Daly, who first met the now-29-year-old Spears nearly a decade and a half ago during their mutual pre-TRL days, ripped into her management team on his personal Twitter after being asked to pre-tape an interview with her (standard practice right now for the star, who has primarily been conducting interviews via email), and then submit it for approval and editing before air.

In a series of frustrated tweets he wrote:

“I was jst TOLD my @britneyspears interview tomm on @ampradio MUST b pre-recorded & submitted 4 approval by HER mgmt b4 it can air! F THAT!”

never that restricted. Even when I interviewed Michael Jackson, it wasn’t anything like this…it’s really insane.

And to a fellow tweeter who called him an “unprofessional a–hole,” he replied: READ FULL STORY »

Enrique Iglesias will not be touring with Britney Spears

Britney Spears’ announcement while performing this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America that she would be touring this summer with Enrique Iglesias seems to have been a bit premature: Iglesias’ reps just released a statement saying that the pair will not be hitting the road together. “Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album Euphoria,” his reps said. “Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone.” Britney had originally revealed the news as a “special announcement” from backstage at the morning show, stating that she’d join Iglesias on tour starting in June.

Britney Spears’ Sunday concert from San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium aired on Good Morning America today. (She was originally slated to perform in front of the historic Castro Theatre, but weather concerns moved her show indoors and out of the famous gay-borhood).

After the ABC morning show rounded up the news of our confusing world (from the U.S. military involvement in Libya to a gorilla choosing March Madness brackets) the GMA hosts took us to something much easier to comprehend: the pure pop power of Britney. Opening with lead single “Hold It Against Me” from her seventh album Femme Fatale — which drops today — the 29-year-old pop princess took her throne (literally) onstage while flanked by leather-clad male dancers/servants. Britney Spears' 'Femme Fatale': A listening guide to all the leaked tracks and snippets!

femme-fatale

Another day, another leak from Britney’s much-anticipated album Femme Fatale! Today, we’re getting the full versions of “(Drop Dead) Gorgeous” and “Inside Out,” plus a snippet (the Britney leaking team just loves a snippet!) of “Gasoline.” You can hear those three all over on Idolator. We here at EW are waiting for the full, mastered versions of everything before we weigh in too much, but I can say this: This album is already rocking my world, based on what we’ve heard. Our official review is forthcoming, of course, and will be timed to release. The interesting thing is that so many of the Femme Fatale tracks have leaked — in fact, some version of each track from the regular release is somewhere out there on the internet. So in the mean time while we wait for the album to drop on March 29 and for a little Friday fun, let’s recap what we’ve heard exactly and where you can listen, based on the official track listing:

Britney Spears says: 'Femme Fatale is my most upbeat and mature album yet.'

Ruven Afanador/Out

With the release of Britney Spears’ much-anticipated seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, less than three weeks away, the pop diva is beginning her round of promotional interviews. Of course, she’ll be doing the Good Morning America thing on Tuesday, March 29, the day the album hits stores. But one of her first print/online interviews is with Out magazine in a story called “Britney E-Mails Her Heart.” The story is slugged that because, as you might guess, the interview was done entirely via email. (Her handlers are obviously still keeping her close, which is no fun.)

Since email interviews allow the subject to really think about what he or she is saying—and the luxury of having a publicist read over and edit anything before it goes back to the journalist—this particular interview didn’t yield the juiciest of quotes of anecdotes. But, what the hell! We’ll bite! She talks her new album, the album she thinks changed the world (you’ll be surprised!), which Golden Girl is her favorite, and lots more. Here are a few of our favorite bits from Britney’s chat with the gay magazine:

When you were starting out, whose career did you want to mold after yours? “Madonna. No question. She is an amazing entertainer. Besides Madonna, I also admire Sarah Jessica Parker’s career and her shoe collection?”

Are there any of your songs that you wish you hadn’t recorded/you don’t really love? “No. All my songs are f—ing amazing.”

How is Femme Fatale different from your other albums? I think Femme Fatale is my most upbeat and mature album yet.
