Céline Dion has announced plans to cease performing for the time being, postponing her Las Vegas show and canceling her planned tour of Asia.
According to People, Dion has decided to postpone all of her show-business engagements indefinitely in order to spend more time with her family. (Dion’s husband, René Angélil, had a tumor removed from his throat last December.) In a statement, Dion told People, “I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband’s healing, and to do so, it’s important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children. I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support.”
Miley Cyrus was forced to cancel her show Tuesday night at the Sprint Center in Kansas City after being hospitalized for an allergic reaction to some medication.
The Sprint Center released a statement explaining the cancellation to fans: “Miley Cyrus’ ‘Bangerz’ tour date scheduled for tonight, April 15, at Sprint Center in Kansas City has been canceled. Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled. Refunds for tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.”

Dutch DJ Tiesto, one of the world’s most popular purveyors of dance music, says he is canceling a show in Caracas because “it’s no time to party.”
The show had been scheduled for April 4, at the Metropolitan University in the capital city of Caracas.
A darling of Las Vegas and the Spanish party island Ibiza, Tiesto said he would reschedule as soon as possible because he’s always played great shows in Venezuela.
Tiesto is the world’s highest-paid DJ, according to Forbes, pulling down about $250,000 for a three-hour set.
