Taylor Swift sings 'You're So Vain' with Carly Simon -- VIDEO

Taylor Swift and Carly Simon are both blond singer-songwriters, and the comparisons don’t end there. They also get asked a certain question pretty often: Who did you write that song about? In Simon’s case, everyone wants to know the subject of “You’re So Vain,” which has been rumored to be about everyone from Mick Jagger to Warren Beatty. In Swift’s case, every love song is up for speculation.

So it’s only appropriate that Swift brought Simon out onstage Saturday night to sing “Vain” during her Red Tour stop in Foxborough, Mass. Watch the entire performance below:

Marilyn Manson and Johnny Depp finally release song together — and it's a Carly Simon cover

When Marilyn Manson recently released his new single “No Reflection,” we wondered whether he was still scary — or even relevant.

Likewise, one could ask a similar question about Johnny Depp: Is he still cool?

We’re not sure, but we do know that Captain Jack is teaming up with the “Beautiful People” singer to release a duet cover of Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain,” which fans(?) will be able to hear on Manson’s upcoming album Born Villain.

If the project sounds like some oddball, Jack White-meets-ICP-style pairing, think again — Depp and Manson are actually real-life buddies who attend movie premieres together and stuff.

They’ve even been known to go to each other’s houses to compare their funky hat collections. OK, fine, we can’t say for sure that that’s actually true… but we also can’t say for sure that it’s not true.

'You're So Vain': Did Carly Simon just reveal that it's about David Geffen? Probably not.

OMG, you guys! Stop the presses! Carly Simon has finally revealed the true identity of the dude who was so vain, he probably thought 1972’s “You’re So Vain” was about him! At least, that’s what U.K. tabloid The Sun would have you believe.

Simon re-recorded “You’re So Vain” for her album Never Been Gone, which has been out since last October. In a column that’s been widely circulated today, the Sun notes that if you play the re-recorded tune backwards, you can hear Simon whisper the name “David.” This, according to the Sun, means that Simon must have been talking about David Geffen, the head of her record label at the time.

So is it true? A rep for Simon confirms to the Music Mix that she does whisper “David” backwards on the new “You’re So Vain.” But that’s hardly definitive proof that the song has been about Geffen all along. “It’s just a clue,” Simon’s rep adds. “There are lots of ‘Davids.'” Indeed. The Sun offers no evidence whatsoever beyond that rather common first name. She could be talking about anyone — David Beckham, David Schwimmer, David Dinkins, Dave Matthews, the Biblical King David, my uncle David, that statue in Florence
