Katy Perry, John Mayer reveal romantic 'Who You Love' cover art

who-you-love.jpg

The couple who sings together, smolders together.

At least that’s how it looks for Katy Perry and John Mayer. The two unveiled the cover art for their duet “Who You Love” from Mayer’s recent album Paradise Valley, showing them posing seductively in a black-and-white photo. Perry is draped across the couch, gazing at the camera from behind Mayer, who sits on the floor in the foreground strumming his guitar.

“‘Who You Love’ is here,” Mayer tweeted with the photo Tuesday. “Proud of this song, proud of this artwork, proud of this girl.”

Of course, Mayer’s not one to shy away from crooning sweet melodies with his Celebrity Ladyfriends. Remember 2010’s “Half of My Heart” with Taylor Swift? Swift did, and (allegedly!) chronicled their doomed relationship with the takedown “Dear John.”

Perry, on the other hand, told EW that her beau inspired the soaring love ballad “Unconditionally,” her second single off Prism. “It’s just a simple message about loving someone and accepting them,” she said. “You don’t have to be so self-conscious, you don’t have to fear, because essentially, everybody has their stuff.”

It certainly seems that way — a black-and-white photo means a black-and-white relationship in pop star world, right? In the meantime, if you need a refresher, listen to their duet below: READ FULL STORY

Hear Deer Tick with guest Vanessa Carlton on 'In Our Time' -- EXCLUSIVE

Just because Deer Tick‘s John McCauley teamed up up with his girlfriend, singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton, doesn’t mean their new duet is necessarily sweet.

“For over a year I watched my family deal with my dad’s looming sentencing date [on federal charges of conspiracy and tax fraud],” McCauley says of “In Our Time,” which will be featured on the Providence indie-folk band’s upcoming album Negativity.  “My parents have had a long and seemingly healthy marriage since before I was born. This was the first time I ever saw them really struggle. Lots of silence and lots of yelling.”

“I wrote this song from my father’s perspective and adapted it to a male/female duet,” he continues. “I play the part of my father and my girlfriend Vanessa Carlton joins me and plays the part of my mother.”

Oh, and McCauley has one more thing for the record: “Despite what some journalists have written, my parents are still married.”

Give a listen to “In Our Time” below:

Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson song 'Slave to the Rhythm' leaks online -- LISTEN

When Michael Jackson died in June 2009, Justin Bieber was a 15-year-old Canadian unknown who hadn’t yet released his breakout EP, November 2009’s My World. But on Friday, “Slave to the Rhythm,” an apparent duet between the two musical superstars, hit the Web, leading many to wonder where the song could have come from.

Bieber’s Twitter didn’t provide much in the way of answers, but he did tease that something big was on the way that may or not involve the King of Pop. “Excited for what is to come,” he wrote Friday. “MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how u treat the fans. Wish he was here…”

As it turns out, the song — sans Bieber — originally leaked following Jackson’s death. This new version appears to be either a remix from Bieber’s camp or a fan-made response to Bieber’s Twitter tease. Check it out for yourself below:
