Anna Kendrick's 'Pitch Perfect' song 'Cups' has been remixed for mainstream radio -- LISTEN

Anna Kendrick has already enjoyed a few weeks on Billboard‘s Hot 100 with her breakout a cappella hit “Cups,” from the Pitch Perfect soundtrack. Now, in a sign of just how popular the movie has become since its December DVD release, “Cups” is getting pushed to mainstream radio. According to AllAccess, the song hits stations on March 26.

A longer, remixed version of the song recently hit the web — complete with strummy guitar and plinky xylophone — which you can listen to below. The folky sing-a-long is slight, for sure, but it’s also infectious, and Kendrick has a prettily sweet tone that makes it all go down easy. READ FULL STORY

Rihanna and Chris Brown release simultaneous remixes, guest on each others' new tracks

Most people blow out a few candles on their birthdays, but Rihanna, who turns 24 today, seems determined to start a full-on fire.

In the wake of Chris Brown’s controversial return to the Grammy stage last week (many people — like Miranda Lambertwere uncomfortable that Brown, who pled guilty to felony assault after a fight with Rihanna the night before the 2009 Grammys, was welcomed back to the show and given two performance slots), the “We Found Love” singer has been playing awfully nice with her ex.

Earlier today, Chris Brown tweeted, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN” (Rihanna’s real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty), to which she quickly replied “Thanks!” The small exchange was enough to launch a thousand blog posts asking whether Rihanna should be interacting so benevolently with her former beau, whom many feel has not demonstrated adequate or genuine remorse about his past iniquities.

But a moment ago, Rihanna took the reconciliation (and thus the controversy) a step further when she tweeted out a remixed version of Chris Brown’s single “Turn Up The Music” that features her own vocals as well. She wrote, “Turn up the music remix #RihannaNavy #Teambreezy enjoy!!!” and attached the video below: READ FULL STORY

Katy Perry releases another 'The One That Got Away' remix: Will this finally push the song to No. 1?

Katy Perry will not rest until “The One That Got Away” becomes her sixth straight No. 1 single.

The pop star’s album Teenage Dream has already matched Michael Jackson’s Bad as the second album in history to produce five No. 1’s, and a few weeks ago, Perry came thisclose to topping the King of Pop with “The One That Got Away.”

A remixed-version of the song featuring B.O.B. boosted the pop lament from No. 5 to No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in December, but Perry couldn’t muscle her way past LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” or Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” and last week, she dropped down to No. 6.

Now, Perry has released another remix — this time a stripped-down acoustic take — perhaps in hopes that it can boost sales and get the sometimes-pink-sometimes-blue-haired diva that sixth No. 1 (that got away). Give it a listen below: READ FULL STORY

Today in awesome videos: A bad lip reading of a Michael Bublé hit yields your new summer jam, 'Russian Unicorn'

If you’ve ever wanted to hear adult contemporary crooner Michael Bublé sing lines like, “I need a woman with a Benz looking to lose it,” and “I’ma blast yo’ brains, talking full on sex,” look no further.

Thanks to the endlessly creative folks over at Bad Lip Reading, Bublé’s wholesome music video for his pop ditty “Haven’t Met You Yet” has been converted into an absurd thumper called “Russian Unicorn,” which is just as gleefully ridiculous as the title suggests, but a whole lot more catchy than it probably has any right to be.

Diplo remixes the Wombats' 'Techno Fan': Hear it here - EXCLUSIVE

Diplo is the American superproducer behind such dancefloor-filling hits as M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” and Santigold’s “Starstruck.” The Wombats are a trio of Liverpudlians who craft bright, buzzy indie pop concoctions that have made audiences on both sides of the Atlantic shake and swoon. And now, the two camps of jet-setting soundsmiths have come together.

In fact, Diplo got his hands on the Wombats’ new single “Techno Fan” (from their 2011 album This Modern Glitch), and the resulting piece of beat science can be found below in an exclusive Entertainment Weekly premiere. Follow the jump, turn up your speakers and clear some floor space:

Britney Spears invites Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha to a 'Till The World Ends' remix party

Britney Spears is suddenly a player in the remix game, first dropping in on Rihanna’s “S&M” (which instantly sent that song back to the top of the Billboard Hot 100) and now hosting both Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj on a reworked version of “Till The World Ends.”

Spears premiered the song at her own site and tweeted the single’s cover art. You can listen to their three-way take here.
