This week in ridiculous tour riders: Kanye West and M.I.A.

Whatever you thought of M.I.A.’s Super Bowl outing, one thing is for certain: it could’ve gotten weirder.

The web’s premier celebrity-shamer The Smoking Gun has dug up a copy of what it claims is M.I.A.’s tour rider, and it’s a bit of a doozy, even by M.I.A.’s high-doozy standards.

On the list? Let’s see, we’ve got some bottles of Vitamin Water, a few trays of European cheese and “quality chocolates,” a high-speed internet connection.

Hmm, anything else? Oh yeah, we almost forgot about the three women between the ages of 20 and 25 to dance on stage wearing full-body burkas. And the burkas should be provided by the venue, naturally.

Lana Del Rey did fine on 'SNL,' says Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is certainly no “gangster Nancy Sinatra” (or gangster anything, really), but the lady does know how to brush that dirt off her shoulder.

Her album Born to Die finally dropped today, yet many people are still having trouble getting past her much-maligned showing on Saturday Night Live, which 22.53 percent of you thought was SNL‘s worst musical outing of all time. (Ashlee Simpson “won” the poll with 54.85 percent.)

Del Rey, however, has no idea what you’re talking about.

“I actually felt good about it. I thought I looked beautiful and sang fine,” she told Rolling Stone, presumably with a straight face. “It felt OK.”

“The cast and crew said they loved it,” she added. “I know some people didn’t like it, but that’s just the way I perform, and my fans know that.”

50 Cent agrees to tweet nude pics of himself if the Giants lose the Super Bowl

50-Cent

If you don’t already have a team to root for in this year’s Super Bowl, and depending on how you feel about the guy who brought the world “Candy Shop,” you might want to pick up a Patriots jersey this week.

Why? Because 50 Cent’s crotch says so.

Following in the great football tradition of taking pictures of your junk to send out into the world, the “Outta Control” rapper recently raised the Super Sunday stakes by making an unusual bet: to tweet a picture of his private parts if the New York Giants lose.

The wiener wager was prompted by an overeager Twitter follower with the handle MyBestAssets, who tweeted at Fiddy:

“Lets bet. If the Giants lose the Superbowl, u must post ur [d---] on the twitter. If they win, I’ll post my boobs & face on here. Bet?”

After careful consideration, the rapper — whose penchant for Twitter flirtation is well documented – replied with the following:

“Ok”

OK! Don’t mess this one up, Tom Brady!

But Fiddy isn’t just putting his dignity on the line, either. He also told rapper and Cash Money CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams that he would throw a cool million dollars behind Eli Manning’s team, having already scored a half million bucks betting on Big Blue in the playoffs.

'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' video from Will.i.am, Jennifer Lopez, and Mick Jagger has arrived. So what's the most ridiculous part?

There is nothing more I could say here to entice you to watch the just-released video for “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever),” the Will.i.am track featuring Mick Jagger and Jennifer Lopez that they (minus a video’d-in Jagger) previously performed on the American Music Awards.

Much like Stefon regularly says on SNL, this video has everything: psychedelic color wars, motorcycle stunts, and instantly appearing screens of Lopez having a pose-off with herself.

I think the fairest thing to say is it’s exactly what you were probably expecting — if what you were expecting was a 2 Fast 2 Furious outtake crossed with E.T. (the movie, not the Katy Perry song, although, honestly, that works too) that at some point around minute 2 turns into a video game portal into the next galaxy — with a shimmying, rocking Mick Jagger to guide the way.

I hope you don’t get motion sickness, because there is definitely an abundance of what appears to be strobe-light-lite once this video begins to defy gravity: READ FULL STORY

Rebecca Black tops '50 Worst Music Videos Ever' -- Who else made the list?

No surprises here: In a list of the “50 Worst Music Videos Ever,” U.K. music mag NME gives Rebecca Black and her viral assault on music otherwise known as “Friday” the dubious top honor.

Though the list had its share of Brit-tastrophes, there is no shortage of American cheese. Some inclusions make absolute sense (Paris Hilton and Steel Panther, anyone?), though other artists who made the cut (Lady Gaga, Britney Spears) might cause more than a few internet mutinies.

Keep reading to see Black’s video and judge for yourself, then see which other guilty-pleasure highlights made the list: READ FULL STORY

Rihanna's sexy 'We Found Love' outfit too hot for Irish farmer, who trucked the star off his land: Was her bikini too much?

Bajan singer Rihanna is undoubtedly one of the sexiest pop stars out right now. And for good reason: Between her racy videos and magazine spreads, she leaves plenty of tongues wagging.

But she recently revealed a little too much for one modest farmer when she used his land to shoot her new video for “We Found Love” in Ireland—so much so that he shut down the entire production to give her a stern talking-to.

Farm owner Alan Graham, 61, drove his tractor into the shooting area after seeing Rihanna in a red bikini under a plaid shirt and jeans and respectfully demanded they leave.

“I thought it was inappropriate. I requested them to stop and they did,” he later explained to the BBC. “I had my conversation with Rihanna and I hope she understands where I’m coming from. We shook hands.”

This news comes just after fellow pop vixen Britney Spears stirred up some controversy for her pistol-packing scene in her upcoming “Criminal” video shot in London. Our stars just can’t catch a break overseas, huh?

Fortunately for Rihanna, the saintly farmer wishes nothing but the best for her — well, except that maybe she visits a church soon.

“I wish no ill will against Rihanna and her friends,” he said. “Perhaps they could acquaint themselves with a greater God.”

What do guys think? Was Rihanna’s outfit a little too crazy? Did Graham overreact? Does Rihanna need to find Him? Let us know.

Britney Spears gives Pauly D a lap dance in Montreal -- VIDEO

Here’s a random bit of news to brighten up your Friday afternoon: Pop queen Britney Spears serenaded Jersey Shore star Pauly D with a lap dance live on stage during the Montreal stop on her Femme Fatale tour last night.

You already feel better just thinking about that situation, don’t you?

The playful interaction happened in front of thousands of screaming fans at Montreal’s Bell Center and came complete with handcuffs—and a pink feather boa.

During this summer’s tour, Spears has regularly brought a male member of the audience up to the stage while she vamps around for her sultry song “Lace and Leather,” though this was the first time that she brought a “celebrity” on stage for the number. (Earlier this year, she did something similar with boyfriend Jason Trawick on stage during a stop in New York.)

Pauly D took to Twitter afterwards, tweeting“Wow Got On Stage With @britneySpears And She Gave Me A Lap Dance !!!!!” Then he added a link to this grinning photo of himself with Spears behind him on stage.

The whole thing isn’t completely random, of course: D is DJing for six dates on Spears’ tour this month. Plug your ears (the screams are insane!) and watch the video of it all go down here:

The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am forgets lyrics, but cell phone saves his 'Party' verse

Imagine being a superstar, performing on stage in front of thousands nightly. You’d probably want to know the lyrics to your tunes like the back of your hand, right?

Well, the Black Eyed Peas‘ will.i.am, usually on-point with his rhymes when it’s go time, dropped the ball recently during a taped performance of “Don’t Stop the Party” on French television  show Taratata.

Luckily, his smartphone saved the day; still, points were definitely deducted from what could’ve been a great showing. Check out Will’s quick-save method after the jump.

William Shatner reveals track list of his space-themed album and surprise guest stars -- Bootsy Collins and Brad Paisley are just the beginning

A lot of people talk Shat about Captain Kirk’s music career, but you have to give William credit for sticking to his guns (or in this case, phasers): he’s 80 years old, he stars on a CBS sitcom, he slashes travel prices, and he still finds time to pursue his much-maligned passion for music.

Bill Shatner just posted the track list to his upcoming Searching For Major Tom, a collection of space-themed cover songs that are supposedly heavy on the metal influences (so Saruman of him).

Yes, this means that after thirty-plus years, fans will finally hear a studio version of Shatner’s bizarre talk-sing take on Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” which he first performed at the Science Fiction Film Awards in the ’70s and has since become a so-bad-it’s-impossible-to-stop-watching YouTube favorite.

The list of covers promises the strangest collection of tunes The Shat has yet recorded—which is saying something, since this is a guy who recorded an album combining Shakespeare monologues with “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” and “Mr. Tambourine Man” in the ’60s. And some of his most interesting—and most well-known—musical co-stars. READ FULL STORY
