Taylor Momsen wears nothing but eyeliner in new Pretty Reckless video: Watch the NSFW clip here

Ready to start your week with a shock video?

Gossip Girl vet Taylor Momsen shows up in a new video from the Pretty Reckless, Momsen’s rock band. The gimmicks are plenty: the clip’s in black and white, there’s no music (it’s a spoken-word verse taken from her band’s “Under the Water”), and, well, she’s naked the whole time.

Yep, naked — except for a pound of eye makeup. Needless to say, this one’s NSFW, so if you’re at the office and just really want to know more about the lyrical passage in the video, skip the following clip and head straight to the words, pasted below:

Taylor Momsen gets naked in the Pretty Reckless' new 'Make Me Wanna Die' video

Pretty-RecklessWhat Would Tim Gunn Say? Little vixen Taylor Momsen—the punching bag of the fashion guru and Project Runway host as of late—has released the latest music video from her band the Pretty Reckless for the very alt-’90s-sounding single “Make Me Wanna Die,” and it’s basically one big doozy of a strip show.

The stripper? Taylor Momz, of course. (Note: She’s 17 years old. Just sayin’.) Granted, the Gossip Girl star doesn’t go all the way down to her birthday suit, but she gets pretty close in some scanty lingerie. It looks like someone is looking for a little attention, and clearly (with this post as evidence!) she found it: READ FULL STORY

Taylor Momsen's 'scandalous' new video 'Miss Nothing' : Gossip Girl on a platter

Taylor-Momsen-video She’s totally not Miley, you guys! She can objectify her own self without any help from stupid Disney, dammit! Or anything resembling dignity. Or pants.

That’s the message Gossip Girl star and The Pretty Reckless frontwoman-child Taylor Momsen seems determined to drive home in every raccoon-eyed, shredded-thigh-high rebel yell she issues in interviews, on unsuspecting sidewalks, and now, in her latest video, for the single “Miss Nothing.”

I can’t lie; I moderately enjoy the whole late-period Garbage/Hole rock-vixen redux thing she’s working on the band’s new EP. In its own shamelessly derivative way, “Makes Me Wanna Die” is kind of a great Shirley Manson approximation, despite sharing its title with another, better song from (hey!) the mid ’90s.

But sweetie, no. Putting your underage heinie on the menu in the video for “Miss Nothing” is not only inappropriate (you weren’t even born until 1993), it’s unhygenic. You’ve got your hair tracks in the mashed potatoes and your ass in the cranberry sauce.

Please, just let the nice men (bandmates? uncles?), who look like they would so desperately rather be at a gig with their System of a Down cover band, drink their goblets of mead and eat their Ren Faire turkey drumsticks in peace.

'Gossip Girl' star Taylor Momsen talks her debut single, upcoming album, and why she doesn't like pants

Actress Taylor Momsen is best known to audiences as Gossip Girl‘s rebellious Jenny Humphrey. But the 16-year-old is hoping that soon people will also see her as a rock star. Momsen and her band, the Pretty Reckless, are set to drop their debut album this summer and have recently released their first single, “Make Me Wanna Die,” which is on the Kick-Ass soundtrack. EW chatted with Momsen about this new career path.

EW: Your band, the Pretty Reckless, has a song (“Make Me Wanna Die”) on the Kick-Ass soundtrack.

Taylor Momsen:
It’s a tragic love song. It’s Romeo and Juliet—can’t live without your lover so you die. It’s the Pretty Reckless’ first single. We just shot a video for it, but I don’t wanna say too much. It fits the song. It’s very dark.

EW: How’s the album progressing?

TM: It’s coming out this summer. We wrote it as a record, so every song is part of a bigger thing. I don’t know—I just want people to hear it!

EW: Who would you say is your biggest musical inspiration?

TM: The Beatles did everything first, and they did it the best.

EW: You’re often compared to Courtney Love.

TM: I don’t wanna be Courtney Love—I wanna be Kurt Cobain. READ FULL STORY

Taylor Momsen from 'Gossip Girl' has a band, and it's not half bad!

For a band fronted by a 16-year-old, the Pretty Reckless has already accomplished plenty: Star-studded gigs, Twitter feuds with Courtney Love, the works. Did I mention that the Pretty Reckless’ teenaged frontperson is in fact actress Taylor Momsen, best known as Gossip Girl‘s Jenny Humphrey?

So, okay, this fact likely accounts for much of the attention that the Pretty Reckless has received thus far. But! They are also a totally okay band on their own merits, as evidenced by the two new demos just posted on their MySpace. “He Loves You” and “Zombie,” both solidly serviceable tunes, share a catchy grunge-pop vibe. I’m particularly partial to the latter, though that might have something to do with the way its chorus shamelessly shoplifts from Stone Temple Pilots’ “Sex Type Thing.” (Or not: Momsen was born almost an entire year after that song came out. Scary, isn’t it?)

Click over to the Pretty Reckless’ MySpace to give the demos a listen, then weigh in: What do you think of this Gossip Girl‘s musical future?
