That’s right, it’s Fourth of July eve, which means it’s time to get yo’ jubilee on. And to help celebrate the U.S. of A.’s 237th HBD, we’ve put together the ultimate Independence Day playlist to blast at your backyard/rooftop/beach party.

After combing through this year’s choicest summer jams, we’ve recruited a select team of songs from the likes of Kanye, Disclosure, Vampire Weekend, Joey Bada$$ and more — plus a few evergreen oldie-but-goodies. (And before you look askance at foreigners like Disclosure and Daft Punk making our list, remember that America is all about inclusion! Except for “Blurred Lines”; we actually left that one off.)

So, with the power vested in us by Spotify, we hereby present you with our official Fourth of July 2013 playlist. Stream responsibly!

'Breakfast with Kreayshawn': A special presentation from Tumblr and EW -- VIDEO

Careful, Ron Swanson — rapper Kreayshawn might love breakfast even more than you do.

But don’t take our word for it: “I believe in energies, and ghosts, and fate, and luck, and eggs, and bacon, and girl power. And syrup power,” the artist reveals in this new video from Tumblr’s Storyboard blog. No wonder the second single from¬†Somethin’ ‘Bout Kreay, her major-label debut, is called “Breakfast (Syrup).”

A member of Tumblr’s team took Kreay — that’s pronounced “cray,” not “kree-ay” — and her posse to IHOP, where the group discussed music, nail art, and “just being a real-ass bitch every day.”

Though mostly, the conversation revolved around bacon. And while the result might not make you warm to the divisive California girl, it’ll definitely make you crave a Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity. Check it out below, but only if you’ve already had a nosh:

Steve Martin played 'Me and Paul Revere' outside Paul Revere's house: Watch it here

How American are you? Probably not as American as Steve Martin!

On May 28, the actor and his Steep Canyon Rangers made a visit to Paul Revere’s historic home in Boston for a surprise performance of their 2011 single, “Me and Paul Revere.”¬† They may as well have named the song “Mom and Apple Pie”!

Quite a crowd assembled to witness Martin perform the patriotic ditty, which retells the classic Revolutionary story. But we decided that all our countrymen need to see it too. Check it out below:
