Eminem's 'Relapse' cover art: What do you think?

Eminem_relapse_lWe’re getting closer and closer to Eminem’s big May 19 Relapse, and the sneak peeks keep on coming. Today the album’s cover art was revealed to the world over at Nah Right. As you can see, it’s a composite image of Marshall Mathers’ face made out of various pills, featuring an Rx label that reads "Prescribed by Dr. Dre." (Glad to hear that he’s still covered by Mr. Mathers’ health plan!) I’d be remiss not to note the eerie resemblance between this visual and the Eminem-in-M&M’s objet d’art that Ripley’s Believe it or Not! purchased last fall. Coincidence? You decide. Anyway, how do you like the Relapse cover art?

I really like it. I think this will be his most personal, deepest album. Should be his best.

The cover’s alright, it’s just too bad about the music inside.

I’m glad he is back! POP music has sucked ever since he has been gone!

Looks a lot like TI’s “Paper Trail” art work??? Unoriginal, to say the least. I anticipate shock music to get publicity, not much speaking to the actual issues of the hip hop genere. I saw his new video aired on 106 and the audience was at a lost,he should of stayed retired.

Well, I feel bad for his girls that he is so screwed up but the cover is pretty cool and he is an amazing musician!

    Nice!
Great image to hold out to young people buying his music.
    I think it is appalling.

That’s cause people that watch 106 don’t really get hip hop. Em’s always done a mainstream song but his album will have all the deep material.

This is an awesome album cover. This album will be really interesting. I can’t believe people are still throwing fits over this stuff. Guess what: all it takes for your kids to be on pills it to go to high school with other kids. Half of them are prescribed pills by their parents and doctors and they give them out to all their friends. Instead of blaming artists like Eminem, why not wake up to the real world going on around you?
It’s like Barbara Bush hating the Simpsons in 1989: all it was doing was accurately depicting life for the majority of people.

And another thing… when the Beatles were all 17 and playing in Germany, they all got addicted to pills at a time when the public knew very little about them. There were no ‘songs’ about pills making them do it: in fact they knew nothing about it and didn’t realize it could hurt you. My first encounter with the kind of pills people abuse didn’t come from Eminem music, but my friends all being addicted to my other friend’s pills (no I didn’t take part) in high school. They didn’t listen to Eminem either.
Have you even heard his music? Why is a song where he talks about puking in a toilet all night because of some pills he took a worse threat to kids than not talking about it at all and letting them find out for themselves? We have seen that kids of any time period abused pills, at least now they might be more educated.

His last couple of albums have sucked. its obvious. but his first 3 three were excellent, from the comedy to the dark. like my name is to stan.
but his 2 singles that were released were okay for like a week of hype then gone. hopefully he gets to more deeper, and dark side again. and win some awards

  • Fido

His last two albums sucked but his first three were good, jose? He has only had 4 studio albums so far, so you are saying on simultaneously sucked and was good. Which is why your opinion is unimportant.

    Love it,

    Useless artist, useless art.
