Strap on your tiaras! Earlier today, VH1 announced that their much-missed Divas show will return on September 17th. Moreover, the channel is giving fans the opportunity to write in and suggest who they want to see on the show, and which two performers they think would make the perfect "Diva Duet." Here at the Music Mix we think Lady GaGa, Fergie, Estelle, and Duffy would make some rather fierce additions. As for "Diva Duet," how about pitting Miley Cyrus against Susan Boyle? Now that’s what we call having your demographic bases covered. But our biggest brainwave? Get Amy Winehouse’s agent on the phone, pronto. What would the troubled Brit soulstress actually do? Who cares! She can just stand around backstage and stub her "fags" out in Miley’s mineral water. She’d still be probably the most entertaining thing about the whole shebang.

Oh I second Beyonce. I’d prefer Carrie Underwood in the token country slot, but fear it will go to Taylor Swift. I like swift, but again, it should be 5 crazy SINGERS.
This is so cool. I remember a few months ago, there was an article here on the popwatch blog talking about bringing back VH1 Divas, and now it has come true!
I would absolutely hate to see Miley Cyrus on it, so I hope they don’t go for the tween audience.
I think it would be cool if they could pick divas from different genres of music.
Amy Winehouse would be perfect, but only if she can get her act together. Duffy or Adele would also be good choices for a Brit pop/soul diva should Winehouse be incapacitated.
If they want a pop/rock diva, they should go with Kelly Clarkson.
A country diva could be Carrie Underwood.
And Jennifer Hudson would be a great choice for an R&B diva.
All these choices obviously appeal to a bit younger of a crowd than the Divas from years past (Tina, Whitney, Aretha, etc). But I think some of the younger divas would be good. We’ve seen the older ones before, so they should get some younger ladies in there. Just no Miley Cyrus. Her voice isn’t “Diva” great.

Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Nettles, definitely!! Those two have ridiculous pipes, awesome personalities, and are down-to-earth in a crazy music industry. They simply love making music, and that’s so rare today! Come on, VH1, show Kelly and Jen the love!
Definitely Britney Spears (the reigning queen of pop music), Pink, Madonna (if they can get her), Kylie Minogue, Nicole Scherzinger, Ciara, Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Shania Twain, Janet Jackson and Diana Ross.
Britney Spears! she is amazing and the biggest diva in the world…no one can top her pop culture status.
