It's almost hard to believe that there are any more archive clips of Michael Jackson out there that we haven't yet watched and re-watched in the past two weeks. But of course the man left behind an immense trail of TV appearances, concert footage, and interviews over his 45 years of public life, and Hulu.com has just found one rare clip that's somehow never been seen before: A 13-minute interview conducted on the set of the "Bad" music video in 1987 before languishing in a vault somewhere for the next 22 years.
The conversation is a wide-ranging one, with a characteristically soft-spoken Michael answering questions about the making of the Bad album, the concept behind the "Bad" video, and his own complicated relationship with worldwide fame. "Do you feel as though you missed out on something by not remembering not performing?" asks the interviewer after Michael talks about being a celebrity his entire life. "Of course," he replies. "But I gained a lot, too." It's an ambiguous moment that's a little uncomfortable to watch.
Watch the clip in full below, then let us know: Are you glad Hulu has released this lost interview?

I feel a little weird saying this… but Mike used to be a sexy muthasomething.
.lol..yea he was i agree.
You feel weird?
Michael was sexy as HELL here.
Like, he needs come to my hotel room status.
& if he licks his lips one more time I’m going to PASS OUT.
@ Erica
Indeed… lol. He got a lil sexy on us during those “Bad” years.
It’s always interesting to see Michael Jackson and hear what he has to say, especially since his voice has been lost in all the chatter lately.
It’s not my favorite interview because the interviewer doesn’t seem to allow Michael to talk. The interviewer seems to be in a rush to get all the questions in and appears to miss some moments.
Despite that, Michael still said some good stuff, so I’m glad to have seen it.
I love you Michael!!!
Rest in Peace Michael!
So insightful and real! What a great man and a tragic loss. I only wish that he had made it through his tour so that the world could see his incredible talent 1 more time.:( He will be sorely missed. I hope his children continue their lives in the way he wanted, staying out of the limelight and that the media will drop the very private information regarding the paternity of his children. Who cares anyway. His children obviously love him and have been raised as poised, polite and insightful caring kids. I hope that they can survive the media craze. Rev. Al Sharpton poignantly commented during the memorial that, “Your father wasn’t strange…” Thank goodness for that publicly stated comment. He is right on target. At least they will have that seed planted forever in their hearts.
Hulu this one was a great project! I like the way the interview was conducted straight to the point but sometimes in an arrogant tone. MJ the genius that he is was able to parry intimidations and answered with full humility, understanding, sympathy, oozing with love words typical of greater things to unfold in his life and for the world.
i cant even view the interview, hulu not streamed in uk
. anywhere else I can see this ?
An unconvicted child molester.
Think what you like, but you’re still a nasty tool.
I am so sick of people like you who constantly keep accusing this man without reading the facts of both cases. Go back and do it and stop being judgmental. I hope that your dirt does fall out of the closet and you keep getting your nose showed in it.
To all the haters: Michael was sexy, kind, gentle and INNOCENT!!!
Especially during the 2nd section of this interview, I’m struck by how polite he is to this interviewer and how seriously Michael takes each question. He is truly sweet and innocent — talking about happiness of others and wanting to change things. No wonder he has donated more than any other musician to charities!!
Also you have to LOVE when he impromptu broke into singing “WE ARE THE WORLD”.. beautiful.
I appreciated this interview because it reminded me of the “old” Michael. The world can say what they want about his private life, but God gifted this man with an extraordinary talent that many all around the world were blessed by. I believe he had a good heart that was just bruised but not broken…Rest In Peace MJ…
Wow! The video reminds that I did, in fact, think Michael was cute once upon a time. Erica @11:27 made me laugh because I watched the video thinking he looked sexy. LOL!
Great interview!
What a great and insightful interview. It really shows how intelligent, humble and well-spoken MJ was. I wish there was more footage like this of him where you feel you can get to know him a little better as a person, not just an artist..thanks.
