Above, please find the official bracket for EW.com’s Music Mix Search for the Greatest Guilty Pleasure Act of All Time Tournament Poll Challenge Thing, now updated for Round Two, which will commence here shortly. We certainly hope your favorite advanced to the Sweet 16. Feeling disappointed? You have only yourself to blame. Over 9,000 Backstreet Boys fans voted to keep their lads in the competition — do you have what it takes to withstand that sort of devotion? Better get it soon, Meat Loaf lovers.

Careful readers will also notice that the bracket has been rearranged somewhat from the previous round. That is because the Game Commissioner didn’t properly do her research before setting up the initial chart, and had the seeds in the wrong order. Holler about it if you want, but bear in mind that first round results were in no way affected by the changes unless for some reason you were voting in other faceoffs, attempting to hand-pick your band’s upcoming opponents. (*cough*Phish fans*cough*) Anyway, it’s fixed now, and we’re back on the road to our thunderdome of epically cheesy proportions. Check out the matchups, print out the bracket so you can play at home, tweeter your friends to get on board, leave your comments after the beep. And please: no wagering.

I can only speak for myself, but I didn’t vote for Phish because I thought they were a better “Guilty Pleasure” act than Nickelback. I voted for them by default, because I’ve never derived any pleasure (guilty or otherwise) from listening to Nickelback.

Oooh- now it gets tougher. Neil Diamond or Barry Manilow, Journey or Hall and Oates. What to do, what to do?

  • Chris

Lady Gaga has this in the bag

    • dusen

Are you serious? Lady Gaga was unknown a year ago…and now you think she’d win the “biggest guilty pleasure of ALL TIME?”. Get some perspective my friend…Abba or Neil Diamond all the way.

  • Dana

    BSB all the way!

  • gigi

I’ve checked the brackets…I predict a Journey/ABBA face off! ABBA with the win! This is getting goooood!

  • Makisupa Policeman

wow! I can’t believe the Phish beat Nickelback!

    ::ques jaws music::

  • bridgette

While I think gigi has it right concerning the final 2, I pick Journey to win. It is a tough call though.

  • Cordy

Phish will win…or get disqualified. I predict the latter, and I’m ok with that since they shouldnt be in this contest in the first place

“attempting to hand-pick your band’s upcoming opponents. (*cough*Phish fans*cough*) Anyway, it’s FIXED now, and we’re back on the road to our thunderdome of epically cheesy proportions.”

You will do anything to make The Phish not win…you have even said it is fixed…

  • L J

It’ll be Barry all the way…

  • Jamman

Just look at the entire bracket. Who is voting for any of these people. Phish has already won this thing. Tag it Bag it.

  • sixstringbrad

That’s what you get EW. Phish shouldn’t even be on the list. Saying it’s a “guilty pleasure” implies that there is something wrong with liking them.
    Which there isn’t.

  • sixstringbrad

In summing up, the moral seems
    A little bit obscure…

  • ugly Nikki

I’m all over Hall and Oates. Even my 17 year old daughter sings their songs.

  • Marie

Why no Huey Lewis and the News or Monkees on this list????
