Last night, about a month after his 75th birthday, Leonard Cohen packed NYC’s Madison Square Garden to the rafters. Read the full post.

I’ve seen Leonard 4 times during this tour. This is not a concert, this is a religious experience, a moment of enlightenment. Cohen is better than ever. When he left the stage I felt bereft – the last time I felt that like was waving my young son off on his first day of school.

I was there too – came all the way from London (where incredibly I missed him earlier this year) just to see him (and a couple of friends I haven’t seen in 18 years!) and all I can say is I can die happy now! His songs got us through many a cold winter night in communist Poland (don’t want to sound too melodramatic but that’s what we had as penniless students all those years ago – that and our youth of course!). Absolutely worth every penny – for me, it wasn’t just a concert – it was time travel!

It felt good to be Back on Boogie Street :) The MSG show was phenomenal. A religious experience. The gratitude and simple joy emanating off of him was moving. It takes a strong performer to stun the entire MSG crowd into silence, or tears. Mr. Cohen did that several times Friday night…namaste Leo :)

I was at the MSG show for my second Leonard Cohen performance this year. I am 30 years old and was exposed to Leonard’s music half way here. The show at the Garden was definitely one of the best shows i have been to all year and i do an average of 2 concerts a month sometimes 3 or 4. I could not control the tears for this show, i was up in the 300′s seats but felt like i was in the first row. I don’t think it is possible to feel the things i felt at this concert! He is just incredible and his voice is like butter on a rock in the middle of the ocean.

I’m an admirer or rather, an adorer of LC for over 35 years. Heard him for the first time back in Latvia and even without understanding a single word fell deeply in love with the vibes of his voice and music. I was at MSG concert and, almost a week later, I am still high on the perception of beauty LC has projected and transmitted. God bless him thousand kisses deep!

I’ve been listening to LC for over 40 years. Attended the MSG concert with the women who introduced me to him in the 60′s. She’s a great girl and he’s a great performer. Missed one one of our favorite, “That’s no way to say goodbye.”
His material sounds better to me now then it did on the record from the 60′s.

I saw Leonard Sunday in Cleveland at the Allen Theatre. I remain in awe of this Man.

As posted on my Facebook page: Just got back from Leonard Cohen’s superb performance at the Garden tonight. I don’t know how one gives an intimate concert at the Garden with 15,000 people in the audience, but he most certainly did it, and then some!. Really an amazing show, and a full 3 hours from a soloist on world tour at the age of 75, …who moved around the stage like someone half his age.
If you don’t know who Leonard Cohen is, he is a highly accomplished singer-song writer who is most famous for having written the song “Suzanne” about 45 years ago, which put both Judy Collins and him on the map at the time. He has a very interesting, deep voice and unique song writing and delivery style which has, over the years, earned him quite a global following.
In addition to the beautifully delivered music this evening, he was extremely gracious in the manner in which he acknowledged each of his amazingly accomplished musicians on stage this evening, providing a detailed background on each and their formidable contribution to the show, followed by a slow, deep bow to each with his ever present fedora over his heart. He had some very exceptional musicians up there with him too!
If you have an opportunity to catch him on his tour, you cannot miss by seeing his concert. It was truly an exceptional event on all counts.
Have I mentioned that it was probably one of the best concerts I have ever seen??? :)

We saw LC at the Rosemont Theatre outside of Chicago last night. It was a beautiful and compelling performance! Incredible band and singers, and at 75, Cohen has more energy than some at half of his age. It goes to show you that if you do what you love and were born to do, you can live forever.

brak slow, zeby to opisac. Poezja i wzruszenie. 3 godziny z LC to 3 godziny z wielka sztuka. slucham LC juz ponad 30 lat, ale teraz jest naprawde WIELKI/
