No mention of the BEST song on the album “Someday When I Stop Loving You”. The album is solid. A+!!!
An AMAZING ambum! For sure some of her best work yet! i love it!! i have not quit listening sence 12 monday night it is definatly worth buying! better than carnival ride, better than some hearts… well it gives it a run for its money! she has shown what she can do and shows so much personality i would recomend this album to anyone! anyone in any genre can relate in some way or another!!!
Leah I think your review is pretty horrible. I think this is the most mature and honest she has ever sounded. I think the album is amazing! Grading it a “B” is just pure crap.
Very good review. Just heard the first 2 songs from the CD–Carrie Underwood just sounds fabulous vocally! She could have just as many hits with this album–I like how she stretched herself out more with the songs and what she wanted to do this time. And she’s chewing up the cheating men again with some more kiss-off songs this album–girl’s not having it! I think she’s also good at the sentimental ballads the reviewer mentions. I wish Carrie the best with this album.
carried underwood’s voice (and miley cyrus’s) — almost unbearable and sport the schreechy stinging fingernails on chalkboard vinegary ‘twang’ to the zenith, which most country fans seem to love. hence their popularity. kellie pickler is prone to this ear shattering twangy wailing too, and the ‘sugarland’ chick.leann rimes, trisha yearwood, martina mcbride are several who leave these particular wannabe ‘songbirds’ in the dust! (REBA is another who sounds just awful and almost unbearable…from the tammy wynette school of singing, but tammy at least did sound authentic and not plastic and fake like underwood and cyrus, for example). underwood does look beautiful, much more so than usual, in her new video ‘cowboy cassanova’ and cyrus can also be appealing visually and personality wise, but there’s too much ‘twang’ and not enough ‘torch’ …not near enough ‘scorch’ LOL in she or underwood. am tired of their being worshiped, undeservedly in my opinion. they should take lots of voice lessons and mature some and their twangs might someday become more sexy spice, cayenne red peppery hot than like sour vinegar to the ears. maybe.
The cd is ok. Shows little artistic growth however. Undo it sounds like it fits nicely in with the before he cheats/last name saga. Temporary home is my fave song. The others are pretty much generic and forgetable
I don’t like it and I don’t like Carrie Underwood.
I love Carrie when she sings ballad music — cheesy or not, she can make it sound convincing for me to replay it on and on and on. Someday when I stop loving you, Change and Temporary Home are my faves…
I like carrie underwood, but I think shes a little overrated at times. I was not impressed with this album at all. Carnival Ride was much much better. Besides Cowboy Cassanova, everything is kinda blah. I also think she over did it with the “I hate men” anthems. I think thats more of Kelly Clarkson’s thing. But whatever.
And she wears soooo much makeup, it drives me crazy!!!!!
carrie underwood is a cheese ball….. its part of her appeal… word to your mother
