Will someone give Gaga a Kit-Kat break already? She’s touring. She’s Gossip Girl-ing. She’s twirling with the Bolshoi Ballet. The Pantsless Wonder even gets her communication technology both ways, avec Beyoncé: first via “Video Phone,” and now “Telephone.” (Coming soon: “Baby Monitor!”)
Take the aforementioned “Telephone,” the just-leaked track from November 23′s deluxe reissue The Fame Monster. Personally, methinks the Lady doth spread herself too thin; it’s perfectly decent, club-ready Gaga, but nothing so poppin’ fresh it can’t be forgotten until the inevitable bizzonkers video moves us to reconsider. But do judge for yourself:
What do you think, Music Mixers? Would it have been any better or worse in the hands of Britney Spears, the artist for whom the song was reportedly originally written by Gaga and producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins? Or is the Gagoncé pairing your combo supreme?

Please. This song is far and away the better of the two GaGa and Beyoncé collaborations. Beyoncé’s “Video Phone” is awful. In fact, the only weak part of the song is Beyoncé’s weird screaming/singing.
You’re right. Her songs are starting to all sound alike. I still love the sound but they’re pretty interchangeable. And instead of Beyonce, they should’ve gotten a real rapper. Their voices don’t complement each other.
Britney was actually supposed to do Beyoncé’s part on this song (since her version didn’t make her last CD), but she wanted to include it on her greatest hits CD, too. GaGa didn’t want it on both albums, so she asked Beyoncé to do it.
Everyone knows Britney can’t sing
Beyonce is the one who needs to take a break.Gaga is just getting started.
Why would Beyonce need to take a break? She’s on a roll!
who cares if it would sound the same, gaga makes it sound the best.
After hearing both “Video Phone” and “Telephone”, one really has to wonder how greedy Beyonce is when pimping out singles from her albums. “Video Phone” just kinda lacks when compared to “Telephone”. The “Video Phone” video premieres at midnight on Mtv.com, but I kinda wonder if in the rarest cases of LEFT FIELD these days, that programmers will jump on this track, and simply ignore “Video Phone” altogether (programmers tend to simply ignore album cuts when new cds are released anymore, and just wait for singles to be serviced)…I think Beyonce needs to go away for a really long time, and the only other song I’d like to see her release off “I Am…Sasha Fierce” is “Radio”.
I heard it on the radio this morning. It’s okay, bit the Beyonce rapping really threw me off. Did not like that part. But it’s listenable. I like “Bad Romance” better.
As Gaga’s number one fan, and critic of “Bad Romance” (song not vid), I love it. It’s better than all the other leaked tracks (Except for maybe Alejandro).
I’m glad Gaga got the crappy song. It’s too good for Britney.
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
My ears hurt after listening to this crap.
AH-MAZING. Brilliant. Cant wait to see her again in December!!
LOVE. Beyonce and Gaga are at the tops of their game. Can’t wait for Video Phone.
I actually really don’t like Lady GaGa much. I don’t see the obsession in her. I don’t think she’s anything new or different. Especially not “EPIC.” However, I will admit to liking this song. It’s fun and dancey. I think it would have been 100x better if Beyonce wasn’t on this song. I really think B needs to take a break for a while. She’s starting to bug. Also, I think this is 100000x better than any of the crap Britney puts out.
AWESOME..I AM GAGA 4 GAGA
IVE HAD THIS ON REPEAT ALL WEEK!!! I love this song! And I think it would have been better if Beyonce had sang, but I still like her part. I am a huge fan of both Lady Gaga and Beyonce so this pairing is a little piece of heaven for me. I think this is a better song than Bad Romance, and agreed, Video Phone is not that great of a song. And honestly, I like some Britney songs but she would not be right for the song and this song is way too good for her… I think this is a winner right here. Can’t stop listening to it!
All songs are too good for Britney
Britney Spears has never dissapointed when it comes to singles. That is not what I can say for Beyonce (i.e. her entire second album)
