I’ve already bought Adam’s album. Love the songs and can’t help dancing to them. Kudos to The Early Show for believing in Adam. His song choices were spot on and caused me to remember why I love him so much. Loved the interviews. He is a very sweet person. Oh, and adding the Mombert was masterful.
Great performance on the Early Show, and he did what he would have done on GMA. It’s their loss, and they made an idiotic decision. I’ve read that ‘Dancing With The Stars’ get more complaints each week. Clearly, as Slezak noted, Adam understands the difference between 11pm on a school night and 830am.
Michael, thank you for your voice of sanity and clarity this week – as well as your well-reasoned support for Adam. Loved his performance and interview this morning, so happy the focus is swinging back around to his MUSIC! I thought his AMA performance reflected the tensions of the last few weeks (too gay, not gay enough, OUT mag eating their own young) and none of us can understand that pressure without being in his shoes. He is an incredible talent and a rare human being with a generous, wildly honest spirit and I will follow him wherever he performs, and yes purchase anything he records – already have bought FYE and the bonus tracks. Thanks Michael and ROCK ON ADAM!!

Are you nuts?! Name one other current singer who can hit the notes he does and make his live performance sound near IDENTICAL to the album version. Get your ears checked..or better yet, stop confusing your personal dislike of Adam as him lacking talent.
Leona Lewis, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Pink, Joss Stone, Christina Aguilera, Adele, Celine Dion, etc….

I can understand if you don’t like his style of music, the songs his choose – but to say he can’t sing is just a technical bit of nonsense. Very few males could ever come close to Adam’s range and few outside of opera have anywhere near is vocal control, ennunciation or his ability to move from on range to the other so smoothly. Adam Rocks!!

You didn’t mention that CBS censored the Adam/Tommy (keyboardist) kiss from the AMAs (they blurred it out), but had no trouble showing the Madonna/Britney kiss from the VMAs (they showed both as a comparison)!! Talk about double standard! As for your last question, I’ve bought his CD twice, lol (iTunes and physical CD).

Yeah, pretty much proved Adam’s point about double standards, didn’t they? Thanks for all of it, CBS. We got to hear two stellar songs, got an interview, got to see Harry Smith frame it in Elvisian terms, AND Adam’s contention about the double standard was proven all in a 2 hour time slot. Genius.

True. That made me mad. The simulated BJ I can understand if they blurred that part out. But there is NOTHING wrong with two guys kissing, at any time of day.

Of course Adam rocked the Early Show…he would have rocked GMA too…their loss…and its ridiculous of ABC to claim they were concerned that he would give an AMA-like performance at 8am…he has been on GMA before — was terrific. Bought the album, can’t stop listening…it is FANTASTIC
Adam Lasmbert is iconic. He wins at live! His is the new revolution and moments like this will go down in history for his music first, his perfromances and entertainment quality, his magnetism. his judgment is stellar. He’s a good man who can be a ‘bad’ boy and that’s a winning combination!
I think GMA’s decision to pull the plug on Adam’s appearance was a bad decision for them and didn’t hurt Adam in the least. He was amazing this morning and I danced in front of my TV like the fangirl I am. And I bought the album on Monday immediately, though I’ve been listening to the stream for days. I love it so much.
Me too! Dancing in front of the TV first thing in the morning?? Yep! Followed by screams of joy and triumph. He rocked it.

Really great performances! “Music Again” played better live than I thought it would. And I totally agree with Slezak, the lyrics of “Whataya Want From Me” were right on point. I am with this guy all the way!
What do you think he sings on Letterman tonight? Hopefully “Whataya” or maybe even “Fever”?

Wonderful interview. Excellent songs. AMA controversy is overrated. VERY glad that focus is back on Adam’s wonderful SINGING.

omg, I actually read the comments on his AMA performance first, then I watched it, and realized how OVER Exaggerated it was. Sure the performance was not my fav, but that only left me going, “ok..” Didn’t get affected, still an avid fan.
His performances (interviews and musical) were extraordinary. Instruments and Vocals were dead on and the songs perfect for the moment – completely agree with what you said about how they might have hit the “doubters”.
Like Bevviel, I’ve bought the CD 3 times and am going to “give thanks” by buying another copy on Amazon for all the joy and excitement he brings to so many of us. He’s a rollercoaster and an awesome ride. He “makes me want to listen to music again”, “I wanna see him Strut” “for our entertainment” until we’re “Soaked” with a perpetual “Loaded Smile”. He’s “Broken Open” some issues, and given some “Fever” but “hey, whataya want from him”!

Ah thanks. The deluxe edition on ITunes is really awesome. It has an applet with wonderful pixs as the album plays, videos of the recording process and a 30 minute interview which includes Adam’s take on some of the songs.

Loved his performance. GMA’s loss was definitely The Early Show’s gain. I pre-ordered and got his CD this past Saturday but I’ve been listening to the album non-stop since it started streaming on MySpace. It’s fabulous!
I loved the interviewer protesting “but no one is saying they’re offended by your performance because it was GAY..it’s not because you kissed a GUY…” while they censored with a nice big fuzzy dot the clip of Adam kissing a guy. Nice to see homophobia is alive and well.
LOL!!! I forgot that the interviewer said that and then the show/network censored the pic right after! Hilariously unfunny! You (and us) should make that point to CBS loud and clear and often!!!
