The upcoming Tim Burton film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland promises to be thoroughly, weirdy-wonderfully Burton-esque, if the trailer is any indication:
Now, Disney.com is hosting streamed snippets of all 16 songs on the March 2 album Almost Alice, the companion release to Danny Elfman’s official score—including Avril Lavigne’s “Alice” in full.
Among the other Almost guests: Owl City, All American Rejects, Franz Ferdinand, Cure frontman Robert Smith, Aussie rockers Wolfmother, Plain White T’s, Blink 182′s Mark Hoppus and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz paired together, 3Oh!3, and Estonian pop star (and Alice doppleganger) Kerli.
Listen to previews (and the full Avril track) here and tell us what you think.

Sounds pretty awesome. Interesting bunch of artists mixed together but it works!
The Very Good Advice track sounds promising. They don’t have White Rabbit up yet, and that makes us all think Jefferson Airplane. Maybe it will be a cover, maybe it will be completely different. I hope it will be completely different. We’ll see, I guess.
Owl City makes me murder-y. Ugh.
yup, I HATE them. Total rip-off of Postal Service.
Technically it’s “he”. But yeah, I really hate Owl City.
Wow, they got some really terrible acts for this soundtrack. Avril? No thanks. All American Rejects? Rejects indeed. Owl City? Terrible. 3OH!3? Awful.
You obviously don’t know music. Next time you want to comment on something I think you should actually know what your talking about. Because right now your just coming off stupid
Atually Voltron, Dave is so right.
Those acts all truly suck, and have no talent.
“You obviously don’t know music”? Seriously? Hahaha what a hypocrite.
Gotta go with Dave on this one. If Avril is considered “music” we’re all screwed.
I wouldn’t really listen to most of the artists on the soundtrack, but there are some pleasant surprises. The All Time Low track doesn’t that bad to me – and I dislike most of the stuff I’ve heard from them.
tl;dr version: I’d listen to it first before judging based on the artists. But the 3OH!3 track is really horrible hahaha
Avril: I’ll agree with you on that one…no thanks!
All American Rejects: I’ll agree with you on that one too.
Owl City, however, is NOT terrible. His songs are totally real, he is genuinely talented, and his lyrics speak to people in ways you clearly have never experienced. You probably only know his mainstream song, Fireflies. But what you don’t know is that he has so much more to offer. He’s just such a genuine person I can’t help but defend him. So please, for the sake of us all, SHUT YOUR PIEHOLE!!!
I listened to the snippets and it’s all kind of annoying. They could have mixed it up a bit.
so excited for this movie! the tweener soundtrack though? not so much.
The best song in the soundtrack is ‘Strange’ by Tokio Hotel!
The Tokio Hotel/Kerli song sounds the best of all of them.
i like the snippet from Tokio Hotel and Kerli the song called ‘Strage’ it short but the song sound promising..
