Sigh…waiting 7 years for a new Blink album, guess I better just make it 8 years now…
This interview has just made me hate Tom so much more. I love AVA and Blink but I Toms really just got to pull his head out, he isnt changing music and no amount of gimmicks are going to do anything. He really does think he is some sort of god and making that AVA is the most important thing.

Here’s my take: The Blink 182 reunion was based solely around money. That’s why they’ve focused on touring more versus recording a new record. Touring is where the money is. Tom’s heart is clearly more with AVA, but given his grandiose plans for it, he needs funding. From Modlife to feature films, he’s funding these projects with his own money. Blink is simply a way for him to keep his AVA dreams going without going broke. Every interview I’ve seen or read, Tom talks more about AVA and very little about Blink. As a fan of Blink (and AVA), I feel a little mislead. A new album was promised right away, but subsequently delayed for at least 2 years all while Tom was recording “biggest release of his life.” AVA doesn’t sell even close to that of Blink (I-Empire sold 277,000 copies) so the writing is on the wall.

honestly ava sucks in my opinion (+44) was ok, boxcar was ok, transplants are good, and blink is orgasmic if they wanna work on side projects more quit the damn band, but for now work on the damn albulm so i can buy it!
AVA is not for everyone, but they don’t suck.
it’s funny how tom says “We’re all so different in our musical taste”. I remember the old Tom who’s fav band were decendants, screeching weasel, etc. Oh the good old days.
