I am tired of you people calling Adam’s fans rude, etc. We waiting in the freezing cold for hours and on top of that we had to wait an extra hour and 15 minutes to get in. Allison was already performing. Some people that lived outside of the city needed to get home or were just plain exhausted. Standing not only outside, but for the whole concert. I wanted to stay, but had to leave due to another commitment cross town. It had nothing to do with Kris. I was dying to stay, but because it was running so late, I couldn’t. This obsession people have for dumping on Adam Fans is just plain jealousy. We are passionate about Adam. You other fans seem to be threatened by that and are always making nasty remarks. Talk about your love for Kris and leave us alone.
So you are saying that you would of left after Kris set, because it was so late and cold, I think not.
I meant to say if Kris was second. The point is stop making excuses. I for one would of loved to see all three, but I didn’t win tickets.

Why can’t the Glamberts leave when they want to leave? What the big deal? It a freaking free world or isn’t it? Many people are not prepared to stand there for another hour watching an artist they aren’t particularly fond of. I am not dissing Kris but I simply don’t like his music. It’s that simple! This entire concert was a very bad idea if you ask me.
I`ve never said they should have been prevented from leaving. They were, as you said, free to prove their lack of consideration for others. We agree on one thing…the concert was a bad idea.
Yes Adam Lambert is 11 feet tall. Not a petty small person who feeds Idol paranoia and fan wars by overstating fiction. Who polled the people exiting and determined they were all Glamberts? Who determined it was a THIRD which by eyewitness accounts are overstated…You? And Cantiello tweeted lame childish nonsense after Adam during the break because people were going for fresh air. FOUR freakin people fainted (not ONE, but yeah, saying ONE hides how uncomfortable it was in there so you mention ONE. Deceptive. Anyone who couldn’t or wouldn’t spend another hour STANDING IN A SAUNA do not owe Idol people any explanations. Personally, I’ll come and go where I please when I spend MY MONEY and MY TIME getting myself there. Thank God S8 is finally DONE. AND way to go pimping KA’s “excellent band” and ignoring Adam’s tremendous WORLD FAMOUS BAND; Monte from Madonna and Prong, Longineau from Yellowcard, and Justcallmehorse from Korn and several other internationally famous bands. Filling in for Lisa Harriton from Smashing Pumpkins. And Tommy from the Planet Fierce LOL. Such a Plaidbert you are. You guys live for the underdog narrative.
Thanks for your comment,Allyrianne. Someone I know who was there said it was evident that none of Kris’ musicians were not professional sounding, unlike Alison’s and Adam’s. And Kris had them TURN UP THE VOLUME TO BLAST his music. Maybe the fan who fainted got an epileptic seizure from it? He and the band apparently didnt stop when she fainted, and kept right on singing. I was told that Kris’ vocals were so poorly enunciated that one could hardly understand the words to his songs. This is the kind of idol America likes.

I am an Adam fan and it’s unnecessary for you to diss Kris. I am going to watch Kris’ performances now and see if they were really as bad as you said they were. I really doubt you are correct because many people said he has improved a lot since Idol.
Couldn’t agree more. I’m astounded coming here to read a review and see the childishness and bitterness of Kris fans. Unless people were at the concert (which I wasn’t, you don’t have a right to say anything. YOU weren’t the ones standing for hours in what sounds like horrible temperature extremes. No wonder people fainted and no wonder they had to get fresh air or leave after the second set. To somehow blame Adam for that or take it out on him is unbelievably petty.
Great article. I wish Iwas there. I also think it might be good for them to tour the first year together. I hate to think anyone left after Adam on purpose. That is just wrong. I am a die hard Adam fan, but I would never do that.
Until you take a bus at 9 am to get there in the afternoon, stand in line freezing cold for hours, have to wait another 1.5 hours inside in a SAUNA with 4 people fainting STANDING UP WITH NO SEATS, then hang around another 1.5 hours for set changes, you actually have NO IDEA what you’d “do”. Some people were in that around the building line outside so long they missed the beginning of Allison who started without them.
Yup, I know what I wouldn’t do, in any case. Everyone knew what time the doors opened, and if they chose to wait in line all day like kids, and then couldn’t show Kris the consideration of staying a mere 45 minutes longer, then they should perhaps think twice next before taking tickets from someone who would have loved at least two of the performers, and would have stayed for ALL out of common courtesy.
You can whine all you want but it’s a free world and people can do what they freaking want to do. I don’t see any problem with people leaving before Kris’ set. Many probably didn’t want to watch his performances. Does it really matter???
It only matters if it bothers them to be thought of as rude. I think Kris has become accustomed to it, unfornutely.
@Elaine……If Kris cannot handle a few people not staying for his set then he should find another career. It won’t be the last time that someone will have to leave during one of his concerts. The problem is Kris’s fans are so whiny.

What was mentioned in Slezak’s actual review was that 1/3 of the crowd left. The Lambert fans have shown so much animosity towards Kris, in almost every comments section of any article I’ve read, that I would feel pretty confident in saying that those that left were Lambert fans. According to 4 Idol journalists that were there, it happened. I think it’s rude. That’s all. I won’t call you names, or generalize about the Lambert fans. I’m just saying that in my OWN opinion, the ones that left were rude.
I agree with Alycia,Slezak is trying to fuel the flames between the fans. Only a number left and some of them tweeted that they had to catch trains, etc. I wish people would use some common sense when reading info from the media. We all that the media has only one purpose in mind.
I don’t know how many left, but obviously it was enough that even people on twitter remarked about it. The point being, If Adam was last would these people have left, probably not. It shows no class, and if they only wanted to see Adam, fine- go to his solo concert and leave the tickets for fans that appreciates all three.

It’s a free world dude. People can come and go as they wish. They simply didn’t want to watch Kris for obvious reasons. What’s wrong with that? Now coming back to be class, maybe you should educate some of your younger Kris friends who are outright RUDE!!!

I find it really strange that after a stellar performance by all 3 idols, that people insist on focusing their attention on the fact that a group of attendees left before the final act! Not much talk about how epic these 3 performed, but only about how rude it was that some left before Kris performed. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that those who are complaining are offended because they are fans of Kris and want to blame Adam and his fans for what they believe hurt their boys feelings.

This is RIDICULOUS. Two talented artists who are nice, decent people, and who are FRIENDS, and each one seems to have a cadre of nasty, name-calling fans who think that trashing the other guy is what you have to do to be a loyal fan.

This is Music, not Junior High. I personally would prefer that they didn’t tour together because of the fan crap. ALL of the haters need to be completely ignored. If you let them in that window, you give them way too much power! I loved all three sets, it was like getting the PuPu platter, something to satisfy every craving!
Love it, Carole, I always order the Pu Pu platter. I like the sweet and sour wings the most, but the fried won tongs, the shrimp, the beef sticks-all wonderful!
And I love all three of these talented artists. I think people should just concentrate on the positives, praise and support the artist they love, and ignore the rest. Life is too short to waste with this kind of garbage.

I would truly love to see Kradison if only the ticktets could be distributed evenly to every fan group [maybe through their offical sites,?!]. Certainly people would find ways around it, but it would provide a filter for all of the Glitter Cows and the manure they leave behind.

His promotion was out of this world ridiculous and he’s what? Gone gold in three months? That’s not that great. David Cook was platinum by this time last year and really he didn’t make too much of a splash, so I can’t understand the justification that Adam Lambert is taking the world by storm. It’s more of a short mist really. It’s not hating on him, but I read about these unrealistic expectations and justifications for his level of success it’s annoying frankly!
Molly, gold (album) in three months is really, really good especially when comparing it with his fellow Season8′ers and other artists. And about David Cook, what happen to him? If you’re not a fan of Adam, you need not worry about his future. I assure you his fans are very satisfied with the album & what’s going on with his career right now. He lived up to their expectations and he’s taking their world by storm.

This concert was absolutely epic. One of the very most memorable of the many dozens I have seen over the past 30 years. It was simply amazing!
I will see anything Adam does, Allison too, and I’ll root Kris on because I think he’s wonderful even though his style isn’t my favorite among them.
I would love to see them tour together, but at some point I definitely want to see Adam tour solo. Though preferably not as the opening act for some other group I’ll have to pay a fortune because of and not be interested in seeing. If he opened for someone I was interested in like Bowie or Gaga or Madge, that would be fine. But I’d still rather see him solo, in a small adult-only venue where he could let go and be himself to his heart’s content.
Let me restate that: I don’t think I’d like to see them tour together, but an occasional reunion concert like this could be a lot of fun, for us and them.
Virgina, I actually had a connection who was able to get me a VIP ticket to this Kradison concert, but I turned it down. I went to 3 idol concerts and couldn’t stand having to sit through all the other idols just to see Adam for 20 minutes. I went to Gridlock and am going to his solo Fantasy Springs concert and am so excited. There are a few tickets left (over 3K sold out of 3500 available), so if you can fly out to Palm Springs that would be great. I’ll also go to the one in Richmod, BC on 4/9. Tickets go on sale 2/18.

A few corrections. As others have pointed out, there was a 20 minute intermission after Adam and that place was hot and stifling. A lot of people flooded outside but most of them came back in before Kris started. Also, Kris is not the lowest-selling Idol. He had the worst first week, but his album has sold steadily since then. And please get past the idea that Arkansas can outvote the entire rest of the country. Kris has plenty of fans in every state and he had a lot of fans at the concert last night. Seriously, I cannot believe you spend this much energy bashing a singer you don’t like. Wouldn’t it be much easier and more pleasant to concentrate on Adam or Allison or whoever you’re a fan of and just scroll past the Kris stuff?

suenee, i was on a site last night, and it was over who had the “effect” that kara was talking about—and NEVER have i had a weird experience like i did on that site. my post did not show up, so i asked why, and all of a sudden, the site kept on appearing on my screen, over 20 times!!! i have used a computer for years, but i tell you this—-it was a cook site, others had similar experiences. yet, adam had over 50% of the vote for the poll. go figure. cook fans are not saints.
I was on that same site and I am a Cook fan but my posts were not showing up either. I don’t know what the problem was but it was not just directed at Adam fans.
I don’t know why some people left early and neither do any of you. But I am a fainter and I cannot stand for more than an hour and a half before I pass out. Having been that way since middle school,I make a judgement when it is time to make an exit. I love Adam. I don’t dislike Kris but not really interested in him. I can tell you for sure that if I had been there, I would have been so out of there after Adam’s performance. Now if there were seating, I would stay for the entire concert even if Kris’s music does not interest me. You just can’t tell other people to stay if they don’t want to no matter what the reason is. If ya want to leave, you leave. Period. And somebody calling you rude will not change that.
You just don’t get it! No one is telling other people to stay, but I for one, am calling them out for being rude and inconsiderate.

All I’ve done is state my opinion. I thought that what they did was rude. How is that the same as purposely disrespecting someone who has done absolutely nothing to you? Who have I been rude to, and how? Is stating my opinion rude, even though everyone insists it was a small group that left, and they were the only ones I was referring to? I don’t think I’m above anyone. There are way too many factors in our make up for anyone to really better than others. I do know that in some ways, at least, I try to be more considerate.
Honestly, I’ve seen Kris called just about everything, and his entire fan group called cheaters. deaf, boring, etc. Ignoring it just isn’t working and I’m afraid that people have felt free to “carry out their right to do what they please”, totally unheeded.
