I am a HUGE Brit Brat fan but even I don’t like the trend of doing whole Glee episodes dedicated to a particular artist. Madonna is an icon and I believe Britney is, too, in her own way, but use a couple of her songs in different episodes, not a whole episode dedicated to her.
My choice – Kurt signing Circus. I think he’d be fab!

I love Glee! and I loved the Madge-ical ep, but I really like when they mix it up and let the story pick the songs and not the other way around…
love Brit’s songs, but wouldn’t want the story to work around the music…not the same Cat as:”eew.no”
but the thing is, look at some of britney’s songs, alot of them would fit into the story as you say it should be.
Womanizer, OOPS, Slave, I’m Not A Girl, Piece Of Me, Circus, Me Against The Music, All work into the story, not the story into music.
I don’t like to project negative vibes into the universe, but this is a terrible idea. First of all, Britney Spears’ people are only chasing after the free publicity (and not to mention possible profits) that Madonna earned after releasing her musical catalog to “Glee”. Second, Madonna’s music, unlike Britney’s, actually has substance and messages of equality, self-empowerment, and independence, which leads to my last point. “Glee” is a driven by quality writing, not “song-of-the-week” hits. I will be the first to admit that Spears has had several catchy pop hooks over the last decade, but I’m certain that her contribution to culture (and “Glee”) has little bearing.

alot of britney’s music has those things, their is more to brit then most think.
I’m Not A Girl, Everytime, Slave, all songs that would work with the story.
Britney is more of an artist then people think, they just jump to conclusions cause she is different then others.

I would love to hear some Britney songs on Glee! She hasn’t been around as long as Madonna but some of her songs are equally as iconic!
If there was ever anybody made for Glee it is Madonna and I have to admit that I was disappointed in the episode. I don’t even want to think about how horrible a Britney ep would turn out.
one or two songs here and there okay, but a whole episode? NO THANKS!
im a huge fan of britney AND glee, but i think an entire britney episode would make the madonna episode less special. however i would have no problems hearing a few britney songs performed! i think some of them would fit in nicely!
No way – although it would be fun to see the guys sing Hit Me Baby One More Time! The Madonna episode was fun, but the story sucked. Important plot lines were completely rushed so they could fit in more Madonna. I don’t know how many Artist Themed episodes I can handle.
you guys keep saying that britney hasn’t been around long enough and her songs aren’t iconic enough but and i say this with nothing but love for her, but what about lady gaga. she’s been big for like maybe 2 years now and she has her own episode. a britney one might be fun too. i would love to see someone sing gimme more.
