The married megastars announced this morning via press release that they’re organizing an all-star benefit concert to take place on June 22 in Nashville.
The “Nashville Rising” show will feature performances from McGraw and Hill, along with a who’s who of country talent — Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Miley Cyrus, and many more. Proceeds will go toward the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee‘s flood relief work. Tickets ($25-$75) go on sale this Friday, May 14.

Some awesome female talent there seeing as they’ve got Martina, Miranda, Carrie, and Faith performing. That and the great cause they’re supporting is more than worth the price of admission. If they could get Trisha and Reba to join in that’d be perfection!

I wouldn’t call Michael W. Smith “country talent,” but this show looks pretty great. I love Nashville.

Why don’t some of these stars actually just donate some money themselves? A quarter of a million won’t set any of them that far back.
Why the heck is Miley Cyrus going to be in this thing? Little miss “I hate country music because its corny” should be kicked out of Nashville for insulting one of the things that really drives the city’s economy. Besides, Taylor Swift can attract all the “tweens”. At least she’s grateful to the city.
As far as donating money, Taylor has already donated $500,000 and I’m sure the others will follow suit!!!

Helen, i’m sure many of the stars do give some of THEIR money but do you realize just how much MONEY they can raise with a concert like this. I guess you are one of those democrats that hate rich people.
Crunch the numbers…the arena capacity is 20,000. Times $75 a ticket. That is only $1.5 million. Then you have to minus expenses. So how much is really raised?
The people here bashing the stars should be ashamed. This show is called Nashville Rising. Let’s take a hint and rise above petty insults and be adults. Miley is just a teen age girl give her a break. All democrats do not hate rich people. Stars volunteering should be thanked not questioned about how much money they donated. Be better.

I just love Tim & Faith- they are such a awesome couple in love, loving mom and dad- you don’t see that much these days. They have ALWAYS helped people in need foe years, their charity orginations too many to mention. Thank You Tim and Faith!!!!
I think it is great that Tim and Faith are arranging this benefit but I hope that people realize that Tim’s band “the dance hall doctors” are backing ALL of the Stars! They are learning ALL of the songs that they will be performing! They (dance hall doctors) deserve some credit here as well!
